A fabulous distopian tale

What did you love best about V for Vendetta?

The story is so much more in depth than the movie, understandably. The narrator had a great voice for this piece and did an excellent job.

What did you like best about this story?

There was not a dull moment in the book. I loved getting more detail than the movie. I have not read the graphic novels.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Evey is removed from her prison cell.

If you could take any character from V for Vendetta out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would love to take Evey out to dinner. The transformation she underwent was amazing and I would love to talk to her at length.

Where does Inside Delta Force rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is in the top 50% of books i have listened to.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

There were some great stories about the formation and selection of Delta Force.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I found Haney's view of Special Forces was pretty dim. Having been in a SF Unit, I can not see why he would/could ever have this view. Some of the most professional people I have ever had the pleasure to meet and privilege to work with.

Loved this book! Obsession knows no bounds!

What made the experience of listening to You the most enjoyable?

I loved the internal dialogue the main character had with himself his ability to rationalize anything. Joe is a true psychopath! I thought I knew some stalker-ish, obsessive people; boy, was I wrong!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, each twist and turn in the story was weirder than the first. How far would this go? A lot of Joe's actions were unexpected and shocking.

Which character – as performed by Santino Fontana – was your favorite?

Joe, although I laughed when he did Peach, because I know some superficial narcissistic people just like her.

Any additional comments?

I could not wait to hear the next chapter and hated getting out of the car when I got to work. Through the day I would think "how long until I can hear more?" I really loved this book. The story was great and Santino Fontana was excellent as Joe! He really brought the book to life and I will look for others he has done.
I think this was my favorite audible book so far!

Great book for things you haven't realized, yet...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would certainly recommend this book to parents. The scenarios presented are real and dealt with in a great way; disarming the teen, defusing the situation, and making it possible to actually communicate with the aliens living in your kids body. If you've listened to or read other parenting books, some of this will be familiar. There are a lot of stories to share with your kids to start discussions and point out errors in judgement that others have made, and the consequences from those actions. I loved this book and will refer back to it until our alien becomes a human again! ;)

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The story and narration was fabulous! Very engaging. It is one of those books I could have listened to from start to finish in a single session.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Unbroken?

The scene in the ocean with the rations.

What about Edward Herrmann’s performance did you like?

Loved his voice, inflection and emotion poured into the reading. Excellent.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The raft scene and the redemption in there.

Where does American Sniper rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is certainly in the top 5 audio books. Most of the other audio books I have listened to were not novels, so hard to compare.

What was one of the most memorable moments of American Sniper?

When Chris is trying to save a Marine.

What does John Pruden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice was a lot like I would have expected Chris's voice to be.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

They just did make a movie of this book...

Fabry did a great job, excellent narrating.

Learning how to discover my tween daughters primary language.

Get this book, it will open your eyes to some of the things your kids do and say and why they do. Even making any effort to be closer to your kids will pay off a thousand fold when they are navigating the tricky waters of teens and young adults. I'm glad I got this book!

Yes, and I have!. Love his enthusiasm and wonder of the Universe. I would love to be a student of his!

What does Professor Neil deGrasse Tyson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You can feel his passion during his lectures. It's undeniable and spreads to the listener.
