Another perfect wee Irish mystery
Revisado: 04-07-25
Another great mystery by Carlene O'Connor. I changed my mind about who the killer was so many times, but in the end it always comes together perfectly. I have truly fallen in love with the whole family. I was a little sad to finish the book because now I have to wait for the next installment. Hopefully it won't be too long.

Historia
Retired publisher Susan Ryeland is living the good life. She is running a small hotel on a Greek island with her long-term boyfriend Andreas. It should be everything she's always wanted. But is it? She's exhausted with the responsibilities of making everything work on an island where nothing ever does, and truth be told, she's beginning to miss London. And then the Trehearnes come to stay. The strange story they tell about an unfortunate murder that took place on the same day and in the same hotel in which their daughter was married fascinates Susan and piques her editor's instincts.

Revisado: 03-19-25
What a great deal! Two mysteries for the price of one! Anthony Horowitz does a fantastic job of seamlessly intertwining two great mysteries.
And is it wrong or can you blame me that I want to read the other Atticus Punt novels???

Historia
Shannon could not be happier that her hunky thriller-writing boyfriend, Mac, has moved in, and it is a good thing they are living together because they are both busier than ever. Mac is hosting writing retreats at his now vacant lighthouse mansion, while Shannon and her crew build Homefront, a quaint Victorian village of tiny homes for veterans in need. Mac’s latest guests are proving to be a handful, though, and Shannon has heard some grumbling from the luminaries of Lighthouse Cove about her latest passion project.

The narrator is getting better
Revisado: 02-09-25
It's not great but it is definitely better than it was two books ago. I spent too much money on the rear of the series not to listen to them all, so I bit the bullet and dove in.

I regret not reading more reviews and buying the complete series
Revisado: 01-30-25
Once I get hooked on a series, I have never felt the need to look at reviews further into the series. I really wish I would have this time. By book three, I was hooked on the characters and story line and decided to purchase the rest of the series. I got to this installment and I am so disappointed that I purchased the rest now. The narrator does an ok job for the main character but all the rest are done very poorly in my opinion. It is terribly difficult to know the differences between characters and that goes for her male and female voices in the conversation. Considering that the main male characters, Mac and Eric, are supposed to be "very masculine" guys, her voice portrayal of them makes them sound very delicate, almost whiny/wimpy, which does not match with their actions. I don't know how I will get through the rest of this series if she sticks with this consistency. I hope the next book is different.

Enjoyable Christmas Cozy
Revisado: 01-01-25
I enjoyed the story. It was well put together with enough clues to help you piece things together. And enough background of characters to begin to get vested in them.
The narrator could be a bit monotone at times, which made certain spots a little difficult to know who was talking but at other times the voices sounded completely different.

Revisado: 10-02-24
The story was GREAT. Another "fascinating" adventure and I can't wait for the next one.
I actually really like the narrator, Allison Ryan, the problem is I also really like Jenn McKinlay. I have been listening to her library series for quite some time now. it was very hard to hear Lindsey Norris' voice instead of Scarlet's. I really hope that things can work out so that Karyn O'Braynt can reprise the role.🤞

Historia
Scarlett Parker and her British cousin, Vivian Tremont, are hard at work at Mim's Whims-their ladies' hat shop on London's chic Portobello Road-to create hats for an Alice in Wonderland - themed afternoon tea, a fund-raiser for a local children's hospital. It seems like a wonderfully whimsical way to pass the hat, and Scarlett and Viv are delighted to outfit the Grisby family, the hosts who are hoping to raise enough money to name a new hospital wing after their patriarch.
