Not as exciting as others
Revisado: 04-02-25
This was not my favorite Spy School book, especially following one as thrilling as Spy School Secret Service. It was good, but hopefully the next is much better.

100% Worth the Credit
Revisado: 03-25-25
This book was amazing!!! It kept me on the edge of my seat, and I listened to it every chance I got. This was such a high-quality book. I’m so glad I used a credit for this so I can listen to it whenever I want forever. The plot is thrilling and different from anything else Ben has faced thus far. The narrator did a great job, and I was fully absorbed in the stakes. Seriously, if you haven’t started this series, this is your sign!

Don’t waste your time
Revisado: 03-20-25
I can’t believe that this book was terrible from the first sentence and I still listened to the rest of it. Hours of my life I can never get back. I don’t know where to start, from the cliches to the painfully outdated terms and stereotypes, it is very obvious that these authors have not been to high school in quite some time, and I don’t think this book is really that relatable to anyone nowadays. I’m writing a MUCH longer and detailed review on my Goodreads for those curious.

What the heck kind of concept was this?
Revisado: 02-25-25
I can honestly say that I would *never* let my entire extended family set me up on a series of blind dates, and I’m almost certain that they wouldn’t WANT to set those up. I have a close family, but I can’t imagine being that close (nor do I want to - it was so weird). And don’t even get me started on how people don’t use social media like this author seems to think they do. The reason I chose to listen to this book is because I tried to read it physically once, but I don’t like reading Christmas romances that much, and the book was a little too cringe. It made an entertaining audiobook, but I wouldn’t choose to read this physically. The ending was also sliiiightly disappointing, but I can’t say why without spoiling… Anyways, it’s a silly little holiday romance that can be fun if you don’t have anything else you’re dying to listen to.

Younger than I expected
Revisado: 02-21-25
It’s been a looooong time since I read the Gallagher Girls, but I was so glad to finally be able to listen to this prequel! Cami was 12, so her dialogue was a bit juvenile. Plus, I had no idea what this was about, and I would have loved more of Gillian Gallagher’s story (I thought that’s what it would be all about when it opened) - that was an opening I would have loved to stay in.
Still, it was fun, and if you’re a fan of the series, or if you’re about to start and would like some background/context, then this is a great audiobook for you!

So good I was smiling in public
Revisado: 02-19-25
Warning: listening to this audiobook is so fun that you might look crazy as you smile along in public 🤪.
Seriously though, I’ve missed listening to audiobooks! This one was incredible, with a gripping plot, an entertaining romance, and a mystery that hovers above it all. Plus, there were plenty of sound details taken to account. If tech was malfunctioning, there were sound effects. If multiple characters spoke a line in unison, there were multiple voices doing so.
Pretty much the only problem I had was that I thought the actress read a little slow, so I listened to the whole thing on 1.2x speed and I found that to be perfect. The problem was fixable, so is it really even a problem? I think not.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I liked “Into the Churn” so much that I’m probably purchasing an Audible subscription just to listen to the sequel, and hopefully the third book comes out as an audiobook as well!

Historia
Carson Brooks has been my enemy since the day he moved to Sweet Water and tried to drown me in a rogue wave. Not only are we enemies, but we're not quiet about it, either. We're polar opposites. Where I'm a perfectionist and methodical in all things, he is carefree and the life of the party. While Carson tries to trip me in the halls on a regular basis, I'm busy glaring holes through his disgustingly thick skull. Oh, and did I mention I'm best friends with his little brother? Talk about inconvenient.

The perfect light-hearted listen!
Revisado: 09-02-20
I loved listening to this book after reading it a few years ago and also loving it then. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life and I wish Tia Souders had more books like this one. I can’t wait until she writes another sweet YA like this one! I don’t know what I’ll listen to until then.
