Historia
Narcissistic abuse creates a tidal wave of confusion, hypervigilance, and overthinking. You have trouble thinking clearly, remembering things, or taking in new information. And because these changes are happening to you, you begin to wonder: What's wrong with me? Why can't I make this relationship work? Am I fundamentally broken? And that's exactly how narcissistic abuse works—it happens so subtly that you believe the insecurities you're experiencing are "you" instead of "what's happening" to you. This audiobook covers unique information related to narcissistic abuse.

So very helpful!
Revisado: 10-10-23
Because it was so positive and helpful. Author not only explained very thoroughly about how to spot a narcissist, she gave clear, down to earth examples. But she didn’t leave us hanging with hopelessness: She explained how sensitive personalities tend to respond and how narcissists control them. Provided a manual of steps to take toward growth. I’m going to listen again!

Excellent life advice
Revisado: 01-27-23
Probably the most useful information I have heard and more useful than what I’ve read for help in making decisions. Mel’s examples are excellent to help the listener remember the practical advice she gives. Full of life experience/wisdom. I appreciate the compassion she presents her info with

Reassuring messages and never boring

I liked the many stories Max told to relay a message. His messages provide much hope. His messages about the love in heaven sound amazing.

A very useful “manual” for navigating life/relationships
Revisado: 12-08-22
I liked that the information is based on research and is presented in a very clear and understandable manner. Brene’ gives life stories and shares her own experiences as examples to help us understand the language of emotions. There is so much information that I feel I need to listen again. I don’t know how to access the PDFs, but hope to figure that out!

Historia
From the celebrated author of The Secret Life of Bees, a magnificent novel about two unforgettable American women. Writing at the height of her narrative and imaginative gifts, Sue Monk Kidd presents a masterpiece of hope, daring, the quest for freedom, and the desire to have a voice in the world - and it is now the newest Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 selection. Hetty “Handful” Grimke, an urban slave in early nineteenth century Charleston, yearns for life beyond the suffocating walls that enclose her within the wealthy Grimke household. The Grimke’s daughter, Sarah, has known from an early age she is meant to do something large in the world, but she is hemmed in by the limits imposed on women.

Review of “the Invention of Wings”
Revisado: 10-05-22
I could picture the characters and feel their pain and stress and passion and felt anger at the injustice experienced. One hears about the horrors of slavery, but “knowing” (by such detailed concise descriptions of their thoughts and feelings) characters who experience it, makes it cause one’s gutt to turn. I will recommend audible and this book to my friends and my sister in law and brother who winter within an easy drive from Charleston.
