Historia
In 1980, Michael Harner blazed the trail for the worldwide revival of shamanism with his seminal classic, The Way of the Shaman. In this long-awaited sequel, he provides new evidence of the reality of heavens. Drawing from a lifetime of personal shamanic experiences and more than 2,500 reports of Westerners’ experiences during shamanic ascension, Harner highlights the striking similarities between their discoveries, indicating that the heavens and spirits they’ve encountered do indeed exist.

Would you call the cops? Call a psychiatrist? Call out for pizza?

Highly recommend passing on this one
Revisado: 08-06-09
I was personally very disappointed with this book. I feel like it's demeaning, deceptive and frankly presented from a very unloving spirit. On the one hand it's telling you that you can believe anything you want, no judgment, no pressure. On the other hand it's obvious that if you don't agree with the opinion put forth in this book, you are clearly considered unevolved and inferior. I also find the Antichrist sentiments insulting.

Revisado: 01-13-08
Highly recommended read! Pure science at it’s best. Be forewarned, this is cutting edge advanced material and will be difficult to grasp for many if not most people. Scientists of limited vision will most likely scream heretic and unscientific when they find that they have to let go of currently accepted concepts that Dr. Lipton’s research proves to be incorrect. Science, however, marches on and in this case Dr. Lipton leads the way.

Everything, well, almost everything, you know about American history is wrong because most textbooks and popular history books are written by left-wing academic historians who treat their biases as fact. But fear not; Professor Thomas Woods refutes the popular myths in The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History.

Highly recommended! Not for the faint of heart!
Revisado: 12-12-05
Woods offers a skillful recitation of truth and accuracy of American history. While I can’t say that I agree with every one of the author’s opinions and conclusions presented in this book, I am moved and impressed with the clear and faithful account of the facts. This is absolutely what every American of any age needs to be taught concerning our past. It debunks the inaccurate and incomplete history that is being taught in our schools and pulls together the bits and pieces of our historical background. It would be a great service to teach each and every school child this information. Unfortunately, because most of us are the victims of the public school system, adults as well as children are in dire need of this critical information.

An excellent book
Revisado: 11-26-05
While this book contains information that most fathers might naturally discover on their own, that information is reinforced and expanded upon. Other areas that we might not be familiar with are also covered. The reading is well done and information is presented in a concise and logical manner. I recommended this book to my son who is himself a new father and would recommend it to all fathers of any age and any experience level.

Historia
We see our age as the greatest in human history, filled with seemingly unending originality. Yet such dynamism is not a necessary characteristic of great eras. Among the most long-lasting and stable civilizations was that of medieval Europe. There stasis was achieved, and with it a stability that permitted the development of structured thought and intellectual embellishment of unparalleled degree.

A mixed bag
Revisado: 11-26-05
I found some interesting information in this account of Thomas Aquinas' life. Well-written and necessarily concise, it provides a good overview of a pivotal character in the evolution of philosophy. The only down side is that the author is much too free with his almost glib appraisals and judgmental comments when a concept seems "ridiculous" to him. It unfortunately takes away the beautiful immersion that can occur when one puts themselves in the place and mindset of the philosopher. It would probably be better for the reader to be familiar with the life and works of Aquinas before reading this book.

Though Chuckie thinks of himself as dull, Rosemarie knows better and goads him into a career of infinite promise and gratification, to say nothing of fame and glory.

Wow, it is hard to believe that any book could be this bad. Poorly written, unengaging, at times bordering on pornography, this book really deserves zero stars.

Enlightening, in-depth, comprehensive dissective analysis of the American educational system. Bloom's firsthand account is extremely well-written and this audio version is expertly read. My only complaint is that it ended too soon.

Captivating listen
Revisado: 07-12-05
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in corporate America and/or the Walt Disney Co. in particular. After reading the initial reviews of this book from other listeners I almost didn't buy it. While there are some minor, very minor, problems with the audio book they are more than made up for by the dynamic reading this book has received.
The authors writing style is completely captivating and I found myself wanting the book to continue on even after the nearly 26 hours I had devoted to its reading.
This is a must-read!
