love the narratorabsolutely cannot stand the main character don't care about the characters or the story I'm not going to get my money back but I'm definitely not going to finish this book or buy another one from this author

in all seriousness is there no one in this author's life that read this and told the author this isn't how people act in a social setting. first thing first men and women don't have life long friendships get into a relationship and then maintain their friendship after the relationship falls apart especially when they're communication skills are on the level of 2 year olds

we're in a new fantasy world that I've been to before but let's not talk about it on the long walk to the town or right when we get here or before we jump through a mysterious portal

there's apparently tensions and rumors of war but the innkeeper is willing to tell a mysterious strangers with no backstory everything about the kingdom not even considering they might be spies

you should write what you know and if you don't know how relationships work don't write relationships. I like an overpowered character but not a Mary Sue there are no redeeming features of the MC he's not likable he's not relatable and he's bossed around by everyone including his mommy I tried to get through it just because I wasted a credit on it but I just can't... I realize this review is coming off as mean and unconstructive I apologize for that. I'm sure the editing team and the narrators put a lot of hard work and effort into making this a successful audiobook in the future do better and give these hard-working talented people better material to work with

this is a fun book with interesting characters and it's enjoyable
the narrator brings life to the story

I actually care what happens to the main character and there are no intolerable side characters

can't wait for the next book in the series

I could care less how this book ends I'm not interested in any of the characters main character is an idiot and he's little sister is annoying none of them have any personality other than idiotic decisions and annoying dialogue

voice actor did the best with what he had to work with no complaints there

can't get past the change of narrator

it's a very fun series and I was invested in the characters but with the change a narrator not nearly as enjoyable I'll probably push through an end finish this book since I bought it but gone by the next in the series unless it switches back to the old narrator
