Simple and Clear
Revisado: 07-21-22
I am not a woman nor a parent but this is great advice for anyone to hear in the sense of needing some form of direction. I think the exercises are interesting, yet they actually convey a deeper message within: that the entire purpose is to ensure that you are helping your son become who he is destined to be. I feel like in my case, from the perspective of a son and not a father, I can mentally implement the statements proclaimed from this short, self-help narrative by means of working on myself to become a man.

Historia
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Michael York should stick to the stage and leave narration to the pros.

A Brave New World Indeed
Revisado: 02-10-20
The performance by the narrator was outstanding. I felt like I was really a part of this world. The philosophies engraved into this fictional society truly capture the essence of what it means to be subjected into a realm of enforced restrictions and dystopian qualities. From our third person perspective, it is clear that this goes entirely against our human morality; however, the human perspective is expressed within by means of attaining true forms of happiness and relief. The lack of humanity inside this novel ultimately showcases the concept of what it means to be immoral, yet for rational reasons in comparison to our modern culture; to be a little more clear, this is a world that involves establishing some form of dictatorship of certain higher powers over the common people (similar to 1984). I loved this book, and found some portions of it to be comical. Others might say that the content is somewhat disturbing as it does pertain to certain vulgarities and analogies toward racist remarks and political sensitivities (i.e., World War 1, the Great Depression, the Industrial Revolution, etc.), but that's understandable considering that this was written during a more political time frame with different cultural mindsets and ethics in comparison to today, but personally, I found it thrilling to just forget about everything and enter this brave new world that had been created by this author. I wouldn't necessarily analyze it so much and try to find anything offensive; rather, just be open-minded about the experience and the message that the author is conveying towards his audience. I would definitely recommend this book. Please give it a listen.
