Historia
When Margaret and her husband Hal bought the large Victorian house on Hawthorn Street—for sale at a surprisingly reasonable price—they couldn’t believe they finally had a home of their own. Then they discovered the hauntings. Every September, the walls drip blood. The ghosts of former inhabitants appear, and all of them are terrified of something that lurks in the basement. Most people would flee. Margaret is not most people. Margaret is staying.

Over exaggerated dialogue
Revisado: 04-21-25
Couldn’t get through it even though the plot was pretty good. The daughter character got TOO extra. The annoying constant antagonism for little reason is exhausting and goes no where. Adds almost nothing to the story. We get it. She’s a spoiled brat let’s move on!

Historia
The death of a founder, plus a grieving daughter, leads a corporation to turn to the dark side. When Claire Bigsby buries the founder, the devastating loss seeps into her bones, hollows out her soul. Losing her father, who loved her unconditionally, becomes the hardest chapter of her life. It must have been why she didn't give the bald man staring her down at the funeral a second thought. But when evening comes and she's home alone, terror swoops into plain sight. A stranger in the night watches her from across the street, but is this the same man she saw at the funeral?

Poor narration
Revisado: 09-27-19
This had to be one of the most monotone read audio books I’ve ever listened to. I listen to a lot of books and this is my first review. But it’s an injustice to the author. The story was hard to follow because the reading was so monotone I would space out at times. Also it can put you right to sleep! Story may have been exciting but it was just so- so with the narration.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Good story - some annoying narration.
Revisado: 07-21-18
I am on the fence with King novels since the good old days of horror but this story was really interesting and thrilling. When I read his newer novels it seems the dialogue tries to hard. For example, Dreamcatcher had awkward and unnatural uses of profanity whereas in this book there is an over dramatic use of words like “frak”. The narration fell short for me. I almost stopped the novel completely when the reader started voicing for “Hollie”. She has a respiratory disease not a stroke. That narration and odd inflection of tone with her parts almost made it unbearable.
