Historia
Words. We use them all the time, every day, mostly without giving them much thought at all. We take for granted that they’re here at our disposal whenever we need them. But if you’ve ever wished you could communicate more effectively, words are the place to start. It’s incumbent upon you to choose the best words to accomplish your goals, because how you choose to communicate influences—well, everything! The power of communication shapes our professional goals, our relationships, and our lives—so the words we choose to use carry a great deal of power.

Learned a lot in a very short time. I wish more books were like this. , with just the right amount of instruction and examples that you need. Finished in a single trip home and I can easily listen to again to ingrain the steps in my head.

Historia
In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning "death" and städning meaning "cleaning." This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner rather than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs listeners to embrace minimalism.

Slow and boring
Revisado: 05-18-18
Learned absolutely nothing from reading this book. Basically you should give things away, or sell them. Oh and if you are moving and can't take your old dog with you, have him put to sleep. After that I decided to ask for my money back. Also, I had to listen at 2x speed just for it to sound like a normal speaking voice.

Historia
Most of us know we own too much stuff. We feel the weight and burden of our clutter, and we tire of cleaning and managing and organizing. While excess consumption leads to bigger houses, faster cars, fancier technology, and cluttered homes, it never brings happiness. Rather, it results in a desire for more. It redirects our greatest passions to things that can never fulfill, and it distracts us from the very lives we wish we were living. But it doesn't have to be this way.

Life Changer
Revisado: 12-18-17
I suffer from anxiety and ADHD. I took a week off on what turned out to be a cold dreary week that I normally would have had no energy to do anything but sleep through. So listening to a book or two fit in nicely into my no energy agenda. I listened to this book plus UnFu*k Yourself and I found myself cleaning out SO MUCH junk I had acquired! I honestly think that all my problems may have come from all the extra stuff I had, since I am now feeling a little bit better than I ever have with medications and realized I never even took my ADHD medication all week.
All this extra stuff I had was constantly requiring me to make decisions about how to better organize it or what to do with it. I kept a huge array of "just in case I ever need" items. I've now realized that in case I ever do need them, they will be right there on the the very organized shelf of a store. Plus it won't be an old expired version, and paying a few dollars to get it there instead of having to remember where I stored it at my house, is definitely worth the cost! That, and well... there is a 95% chance I actually will never need it. This is the most productive week I've had in as long as I can remember. I really want to thank the authors of these two books for making such a huge impact on my life going forward.
On a side note I want to say that the author of "The more of less" is religious and he does quote bible stories quite a bit. I am atheist and I don't want to hear someone's beliefs inserted into a book that's not supposed to be about religion at all. Having said that... it did not come across as if he was trying to get you to believe his ideas. The author seems like a legitimate good person and he just used bible stories as examples of people doing the right thing. So if you're put off with that like I am, just give it a chance. It really will be worth it.
