Who produced this?
Revisado: 07-18-20
Seriously. It would be an interesting look at the author and his life. The content itself is good. However who was the producer that decided EVERY TIME that someone speaks we have to Introduce them ALL OVER AGAIN. It's the most annoying thing ever. I swear a half hour of this audio is just "And this is so and so who has portrayed both the author, Arthur Conan Doyle, and Watson." or "And here is Conan Doyle's Great Nephew so and so."

Insightful
Revisado: 07-15-20
From word one of the story you hear echos in Fred Trump that ring even now in the current President. If you are looking for insight into the family and world that brought us one of the most inept and ego driven men to lead the world, this provides much of that insight. It is from the point of view of a daughter, granddaughter, niece. What her family meant to her, means to her, impacted her and now impacts the world. I've read reviews that this doesn't give "Political insight." No, it doesn't. But that's not the goal or message behind this. More an overview and drawing back the curtain into a world of mind games, deceit, selfishness, and in many ways tragedy. It is one point of view of likely many in the family "Trump." However it rings true at every word for anyone who's followed the rise of the family over the decades. It's a worthwhile read to get a better understanding of what the author herself has come through as part of said family, and the grooming and creation of Donald as a tool for his father, left behind and inept at Fred Trumps passing barely able to manage his own affairs and sacrificing wealth, friends and family in the process to maintain his own image and lifestyle. It is not the end all, end all of the tale. Again it's not meant to be. However I did find the reading enjoyable and the insights valuable in understanding how we've all gotten to where we are now.

I enjoy Barbara Handclow a lot, and have resonated with much of what she teaches. However for this book, it just didn't sit right with me.

Very disturbing.... Graphic Content.
Revisado: 04-11-16
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I wouldn't reccomend this based upon the fact that in one of the session the author guides us through a recorded regression with one of his clients who remembers and extremely violent death in one life time, and rape in another.
Has Eternal Return turned you off from other books in this genre?
Listening to a woman scream in horror and listen to her speak to the violence acted upon here is a HUGE turn off and deeply upsetting. I left the reading feeling raped myself... Having listen to other authors on past lives I know there' no reason to subject and individual to such pain and horror. And it was horrific and disturbing to listen to that portion of the book. So much so I'm returning it. However there are other authors who write in this genre and who's methods I find practical and actually helpful.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Roger J. Woolger?
N/A
What character would you cut from Eternal Return?
The author's information seems good, but he doesn't give you tools to actually assist with healing anything other than reliving or imagining very painful and even horrific experiences. So I'd cut the author from the book, actually.
Any additional comments?
Awful. I was upset the rest of the day after getting to this portion of the book I don't know how anyone with an once of feeling could detach and not be impacted by the screams and cries of the woman on the recording. Mentally abusive to the listener.

Feeling a bit unfulfilled
Revisado: 10-14-13
Would you try another book from Gregory Maguire and/or John McDonough?
I love Maguire, but I really wish he had been the reader on this book, like he was for book two.
Any additional comments?
I was greatly looking forward to the last of the Wicked series, and the promise of loose ends being tied up. Yes, many loose ends find closure, but the ending left me a bit.... unfulfilled. No spoliers here. However the ending and some of the events leading up to it just felt empty. Book one, the ending being a bit ambiguous I felt added to the story. Book two felt the same. Book Three had the promise of more to come. However with book four stumbling back into an open ending, it was just frustrating. I do have a suspicion that if Maguire had been the narrartor as he had been on book two, perhaps there might have been a bit less... empty. Of course though that's speculation. Still a good read. However I'll be honest that I am disappointed.

Good info, but the interviewer pulls the audio dow
Revisado: 04-15-11
I really like Patrick Wanis and I feel this audio has very good information with moving past things once a relationship closes. However the one thing I do not like about this is the woman doing the interview. "Honeybee." She seems hung up on the thought of someone not being "Worthy of you." Every time Wanis tries to direct her away from that line of thinking, she clings to it with such dedication he eventually just gives up. I feel the same info just with Wanis giving it would be much more benifical without the distracting side comments from "Honeybee."

Read too fast
Revisado: 02-16-11
I have a couple versions of "The Game of Life." Frankly the audio is read so fast it's almost difficult to absorb and starts to grate on the nerves after awhile. I'd look at getting the abridged CD or perhaps looking for a volunteer version online, vs. spending the $3 here.
