My spouse and I are
Listening to this series together. I like the regency romances and I love Austen and Georgette Heyer. I like Agatha Christy too. So many books of the genre are “vapid” to us. Regeancy word. Darcie Wilde writing can compete with Jane Georgette and Agatha. So many twists that the plot results are not obvious from the beginning; but there is a plausible and exciting “aha” at the end. I like books that don’t too give detailed sex descriptions where one’s imagination could do the job just as well. So far these books are free of that . I look forward to reading the whole series.

Perfect for fans of Diana Wynne Jones super funny witty so sad the series is over looking forward to the spin off I almost wish it could’ve been longer like I would’ve loved even more just like chatting between the werewolves or just like the day-to-day stuff it was awesome

Fun podcast but…

Ok I’m a huge fan of these books and i I’m an American sooo the only problem I have is kind of a big problem they talk very softly. And they have British accents And even if I have the volume all the way turned up I can barley barley understand what they are saying and I feel like I watch enough British to that it’s not the accents but maybe in tv they know not to talk softly with the words mushing together sort of so I want to listen to people talk about the books because I want to talk to someone and it bothers me a great deal that the quite voices just blurred together

Cute chick flick type book with a few very well done healthy mind set tips

Cute chick flick with some real issues such as workplace harassment and heritage identity well addressed without being just thrown in mental Health is addressed is a good way too . One of the things I loved was that it was more pg13 then some romance books it wasn’t unreliability perfect but it wasn’t to o much tmi graphics and details it was cute and fun and the reader was great

A few bits were missed or skipped I don’t know if this was a technical error or a record edit but the ducklings being missing was the part I finally noticed then realized several other parts had been skipped too

It is such a fun little story and well performed. It is a little short— not enough for a full days drive in the car. But…I can’t recommend a book where a sexual predator gets rewarded in the end. It is hard to call Mr Mannerly anything else. There is no time period in which that type of behavior is ok. You can’t feel oh that is so sweet that they allow that older man to marry and 18 year old after he tried to use blackmail for sexual favors. Nope. Not romantic. Sorry. If he had come to change his mind and fallen for her and given up on revenge earlier.. it could have been made into a plausible story.

I love these books

These books are fun. I really love the reader. I wish the whole series was on audible. The character development is great and the story line keeps me guessing what will happen next, which I like to do.
