Historia
Mystery author Rachel Goldman is getting used to the idea that her fictional creation, Duffy Madison, has somehow taken flesh-and-blood form and is investigating missing person cases not far from where Rachel lives. Wait. No. She's not getting used to it at all, and the presence of this real-life Duffy is making her current manuscript - what's the word? - lousy.

Historia
Legendary sleuth V.I. Warshawski returns to the Windy City to save an old friend’s nephew from a murder arrest. As V.I. investigates, the detective soon finds herself tangling with the Russian mob, ISIS backers, and a shady network of stock scams and stolen art. In Shell Game, nothing and no one are what they seem, except for the detective herself, who loses sleep, money, and blood, but remains indomitable in her quest for justice.

Just beware
Revisado: 06-27-20
The editing on this recording is messed up. Sometimes Susan Ericsson voice is normal VI and the next chapter it's totally off. I'm going to try to make it through. but they really should have fixed this!

These last few are all over the place. But, I really got into this one, because we didn't know who was killing until late in the story. Good story!!

Historia
Back when Harry Bosch was just a rookie homicide detective, he had an inspiring mentor who taught him to take the work personally and light the fire of relentlessness for every case. Now that mentor, John Jack Thompson, is dead, but after his funeral his widow hands Bosch a murder book that Thompson took with him when he left the LAPD 20 years before - the unsolved killing of a troubled young man in an alley used for drug deals.

Enjoyed it...like the characters and the narrator's, even the combination of narrator's reading together. Hoping Micky Haller makes it into the next one also.

Historia
Her career in homicide has taken her into the darkest depths of New York City’s underground - and sometimes Lieutenant Eve Dallas feels more comfortable in those kinds of places than in the high-rise, high-society world of her billionaire husband, Roarke. But while she’s no party girl, she’s managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating the debut of The Icove Agenda. This time it’s Eve, not Roarke, who’s a guest of honor, since the film is based on one of her famous cases. Her partner, Peabody, is practically giddy....

Revisado: 10-19-19
One of the worst yet. No story, no mystery and definitely no twist at the end. language is as bad as always. I am well vested in the story so I cringe and take the bad language. but still don't understand why the author felt it was needed.

Historia
Renée Ballard is working the night beat again and returns to Hollywood Station in the early hours only to find a stranger rifling through old file cabinets. The intruder is retired detective Harry Bosch, working a cold case that has gotten under his skin. Ballard kicks him out but then checks into the case herself, and it brings a deep tug of empathy and anger. Bosch is investigating the death of 15-year-old Daisy Clayton, a runaway on the streets of Hollywood who was brutally murdered and her body left in a dumpster like so much trash. Now, Ballard joins forces with Bosch.

Just as she despairs of ever finding a home, her godfather offers his fully staffed country estate. But something sinister is afoot....

Second, the story was executed with just enough secrets from each timeline to keep you wanting more.
Third, I didn't want it to end!

I'm bored to tears. I waited 21 chapters for the story to start. I'm sorry but I can't stand the baby voice the narrator gave to the main character. I'm going to return it.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 07-07-19
Eve is acting like a spoiled Bitch. And my language is mild in comparison to her. I know it's too late, since all the books have been written, but having her damn GOD'S name one minute and call our to Jesus Christ in the next ....Nora,Roberts should be ashamed. I may should just read the rest, so I can skip the bad language, so I can see how Mavis does with her condition.
