I still don't go in the water!
Revisado: 08-26-13
What did you love best about Jaws?
The suspense never let up, but it wasn't just a suspense novel. It had great character development. This book is not dated. I enjoyed listening to it as much as I did reading it all those years ago. It's a much better book than it was a movie..
What did you like best about this story?
The moral dilemma.
Which character – as performed by Erik Steele – was your favorite?
Brody. He's the heart.
If you could rename Jaws, what would you call it?
Why would I rename it. Who writes these questions?

Entertaining
Revisado: 04-27-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Before She Dies to be better than the print version?
I believe it would be,because of the reader. I liked her rendition very much.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Before She Dies?
I suppose the final scene where Grace and Sooner are held hostage.
Have you listened to any of Johanna Parker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. I can't remember the title. The book was by the same author. She read that well too.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
It was in the beginning when Mariah was murdered. I could hardly listen it was so horrible.
Any additional comments?
If you are wanting a suspenseful listen I can't recommend this author enough. The reader Ms. Parker is also excellent.

Loved the dog! Loved the book
Revisado: 02-28-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Suspect to be better than the print version?
Yes,because Mr. Andrews was a great reader.I'm pretty critical,so I don't say that very often.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, from the first chapter in Afganistan. This book is very suspenseful ,but the wonderful thing about it is the way the author portrays things from a dog's perspective.Sometimes this kind of thing is hokey or sentimental, but not here. Crais obviously understands dogs. I feel sure we will get a sequel to this one. I can't wait.
What does MacLeod Andrews bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He transitions smoothly between man and dog. Each one is distinct and believable. When I listen to an audio book I want to hear a performance. Mr. Andrews gave a performance.Kudos to you Mr. Andrews and to audible for picking a good reader.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I almost did,but I had to go to work.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

If you could sum up 14 in three words, what would they be?

What did you like best about this story?
This story kept me guessing for a long time. I also really liked this cast of characters. The book was very like Dean Koontz. That is a compliment to the author,in my opinion.
Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. I loved this reader. He was a big part of my enjoyment of this book. He's a keeper. I will be looking for Mr.Porter.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not really. It was a book that builds suspense from the first page. There were lots of moments between characters that were moving. You must suspend belief through most of this book. That's the fun of it really,or you'll be constantly saying to yourself "why don't these people just move".

Uris Masterpiece
Revisado: 02-28-13
Where does Exodus rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
That is hard to say. I listened to Exodus many years ago with a different reader. I liked that version better. This reader was good, though. I gave him four stars. The book is an all time favorite. I read it many years ago and fell in love with Israel and Leon Uris. I love all his books.I would love to see you do QBVII.
What did you like best about this story?
The history of the Holocaust and the building of the state of Israel. The characters and their trials stay with you for a long time. This is a very heartwrenching book. If you don't want a lump in your throat, don't bother with this one.
What about Paul Michael’s performance did you like?
This was a smooth performance. The only critique I could think of,was a slight lack of passion. That might be my taste. When I read Uris I always feel over the top emotionally. It was a wee bit dry to me.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! I could hardly stop even though I had read the book and listened to it before.Leon Uris is a very exciting writer. If you haven't read him before,Exodus is the one to start with.

Good Book. Less than stellar reader
Revisado: 02-27-13
Would you try another book from M. M. Kaye and/or Soneela Nankani?
Yes for M M Kaye, and No for Soneela Nankani
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
It would have if I could of gotten past the reader. This book was not new to me. I have been a fan of M M Kaye's books for a long time and have read this on more than one occasion.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Soneela Nankani?
Davina Porter or
Kate Reading( good readers must not only have the voice but the acting chops.Oh my goodnes what a Davina Porter would have done with these books.)
Do you think Death in the Andamans needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Well, since M M Kaye died in 2002 I don't think that is going to happen, besides sequels are usually not very good. This book had a good ending and was complete.
If you had asked that of The Far Pavillians I would say it could have gone on forever. I would be very happy.I love M M Kaye and wished this book had gotten a better treatment. She deserves a well known and experienced reader.
Any additional comments?
The person or team choosing these readers is not very good.I hate to say this. I bought these immediately as they came out with such excitement. I didn't want to be negative.I love audible. Most of the books I have bought have been very good. The readers of Death in Berlin and Death in Cyprus were pretty good, especially Death in Cyprus.I will be watching out for the other two and be sure not to buy any thing they read.

But even before the ship arrives in the port, there is a suspicious death. Once the passengers reach the island, it soon becomes clear that the death was in fact an act of murder. What Amanda had meant to be a pleasant excursion quickly takes a turn for the worse in this classic novel of suspense and romance by one of our most celebrated writers.

The Best Yet!
Revisado: 02-25-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would. This was the best of the A Death In series so far. The story is a favorite and the reader was very good. I hope audible will produce the other two books. Death In The Andamans is the best of the lot with A Death In Kenya a close second.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved every character in this story. The old lady who wore the eccentric clothing might be my fave.
Have you listened to any of Julia Farhat’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. She has a beautiful voice. I like hearing her read. It's too bad she didn't read all of them.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were a few parts that made me snicker a bit. It was just a fun read. M M Kaye has the ability to take you to all those exotic locales and make you feel as if you are there, and to a period in time that seems better than ours somehow. I will read anything she's written. These mysteries represent her wonderful writing without a huge investment of 700 pages or so.

Historia
Now a modern classic, as gripping in its tautly plotted action as it is penetrating in its exploration of a criminal mind, it tells the shocking tale of a young man who will stop at nothing--not even murder--to get where he wants to go. For he has dreams; plans. He also has charm, good looks, sex appeal, intelligence. And he has a problem. Her name is Dorothy; she loves him, and she's pregnant. The solution may demand desperate measures.

Early Ira Levin still stands the test of time!
Revisado: 02-25-13
Would you listen to A Kiss Before Dying again? Why?
Probably not. I generally like to move on to something else.
What did you like best about this story?
This book was written in the 1950's and is still so relevant today.the main character is a true sociopath. He could step into any current novel. At the time this was written it must have been a very shocking story, somewhat like the great Patricia Highsmith.
Have you listened to any of Mauro Hantman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
He's very good!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, it didn't make me laugh or cry but it was very suspenseful.
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this book. I'm an Ira Levin fan,but had never read this book. I believe he was only in his twenty's when he wrote this. I would love it if you would produce The Stepford Wives, one of Ira's best.
