Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Impossibly Disturbing
Revisado: 07-21-24
If everyone read this book, things would be better. Everyone who reads it, improves the world just a little more.
Nothing was what I expected. Every chapter carried a question I thought I knew the answer to. Questions everyone thinks we all know the answers to. I am deeply moved and will likely recall elements of this case study when taking to others for the rest of my days.
The performances of the Audio book could not, in my opinion, be matched. Hearing actual recordings of the cases rocked me and made everything feel so much more real. I greatly appreciated the extra effort.
Incredible.

Historia
Are you interested in real estate investing but there is nothing to buy that makes sense where you live? Are you tired of seeing the amazing success of others investing in markets better suited for buy and hold real estate and wish that could be you? Do you want to take advantage of wealth building opportunities but are frustrated by the fact there just isn't any way to do that until the next market crash? Real estate investing is one of the greatest vehicles to build wealth, but it doesn't make sense in every market. Some locations provide incredible returns, while others make it almost impossible to find a single property that profits. Traditionally, investing out of state has been considered risky and unwise.

So relevant to the times, it has Venmo and Zillow

I've read a lot of real estate books and they all had the usual, repeated principles which, don't get me wrong, are extremely helpful and excellent knowledge! But it got to the point where I realized a lot of books I was reading we're pre housing crisis and I found myself wondering if the tactics had changed at all.
In seeking out a more modern book, I came across this one. It really helped ease my anxiety that the information I had received was outdated. It solidified all the familiar Concepts and has several chapters entirely surrounding the New Concept of investing entirely on your phone. it gives you all the fancy new tools and everything you need to know to use them! A fantastic read for newbies in 2020

Amazing for first-timers!
Revisado: 08-11-20
this isn't my first personal finance book, but it is my first real estate investment book. I felt like it really catered to people who would never done anything other than have a savings account or maybe a 401k. It doesn't just tell you it's possible, but it runs you thoug the individual steps of each leg of the race. I'll be buying a hard copy to aid me on my journey!
