The story building has been great. I really liked the growth of each character through the story.

Now that I know the lay of the land, I’m on to book 2, to see what happens next.

The stories continue!

There is always a Bridge Book in a trilogy. Where we get to know the characters better, learn more about the details, maybe a few answers… and the anticipation of what happens next .

I love Kevin’s world building. Having read some of the other reviews - this is not the Iron Druid Series. If that’s your expectation, you’ll be disappointed. Allow yourself to be taken to a new place. Meet the new locals.

I was very pleased to be introduced to Xe Sands. As an Iron Druid reader, I already loved Luke Daniels. It’s always a pleasure to add a new favorite to my readers list.

Who is the traitor? Will Gondol be able to have his Happy Toast moment in the morning? Will the Sixth Kenning survive? Is there another attack by the Bone Giants? So many more questions…

I have read the Seven Kennings Trilogy several times. I read them as they were released. Lucky you! You won’t have to wait for the last book! It’s already waiting for you!

If you have been a reader of the Iron Druid series - this is a must read. If you haven’t read the series - I envy you the joy of the first meetings of great characters.

See what it takes for Al to find his voice. Will the Morigan return to her long story or make a new one? Can a Hob Goblin ever go home again? What becomes of a Seer with visions of whisky and cheeses?

And who is Gladys Who has Seen Some Shite?!

Do yourself a favor - listen all the way through the bloopers. Luke is great.

What would you choose?

The places that grief can take you is a personal journey. There are some touchstones that everyone can relate to…. But for Winnie Mae and Pax, their path goes to very unexpected places.

They have a choice to make…. You’ll find yourself asking “What would I do?”

I love Kevin Hearne’s writing. He’s an intelligent, wonderful storyteller. This is a great story that is written well and read perfectly by Annalee Scott.

I have a Dark Tower tattoo, because for decades that has been the book series I lean into for comfort, but there is a new book in town and now I have to figure how to encapsulate this amazing story into a single piece of art for my skin. Brilliant character development, brutal honesty and humanity even in our darkest pool.

The Adventures Continue

There is rarely a dull moment in the life of Bren Cameron. After years of working on the shuttle, and finally seeing it launch, the last thing he expected was to be a passenger.

I have enjoyed reading this series several times. The characters grow with the story. The stories unfold and build the world that they live in. As is often true, every time I read them, I discover a new connection or detail that I missed before.

I hope that you start from the beginning and walk through the world of the Atevi and the humans that floated to their planet.

Daniel Thomas May is the perfect storyteller.

Masterful Storytelling

‪Kevin Hearne’s masterful weaving of stories, creating the larger tapestry of The Seven Kennings is the work of a true Bard. As the threads come together under his incredible hand, readers are drawn in, waiting, mesmerized by the picture slowly coming together.

Luke Daniels and Xe Sands bring the characters to life ~ making them even more tangible in the telling.

Excellent listen. Fantastic storytelling.
