the readers are great. the story is a little poorly written. sometimes you're left wondering...how does thst even work? or when did his hands even get there? I didn't flow very well and just leaves much to be desired

It was a great story; however, I read this full series directly after Air Awakens. This really really drug on. and there were some inconsistencies with the original timeline. I had to go back and ensure that the Vortex Chronicles came after Air Awakens (which it does.) one of the inconsistencies was that Baldair died by Autumn Fever but Vi said he died in battle in her timeline. But he in fact did not...

The author for this series was not the same author as Air Awakens and the accents were completely different! Air awakens had Jax as charming and English while this reader made him Russian with a hard accent. It felt off.

Overall, the story was great. I would definitely recommend. I would just say, take a break in between Air awakens and Vortex Chronicles otherwise you might get bored....

the whole series was mindblowing

this whole series was definitely different from your normal cliche angel series and blew my mind out of the water. my stupid self decided to sneak a peak a the book 2 summary while reading book 1 and read a huge spoiler that made me cling to every word! I was caught in this web of words and wings from the beginning and look forward to more series from this author.

sorry and somewhat narrarator

story....I felt like I was missing some part of the story the entire way and it dragged on way too long. very hard to get into and finish. the main character was supposed to be strong and fight for her independence but just felt nieve and weak and insecure and just didn't really fight for any independence and freedom at all. idk. main character was lacking in a way and maybe that is why I felt like the story dragged on.

narrarator: 2 things I wasn't fond of but suffered through. 1. I hated how she voiced the male. just not my taste. 2. when she screamed or shouted no...it was almost like she was whisper yelling, which stopped the flow of the dynamic of the storytelling.

story dragged on and I had to keep changing speeds

the story drug on for sooo long a out hoe they wanted each other but then didn't want each other....it was a little painful.


I also had to keep changing the speed every time the reader switched from the female to the male. the female read fast and the male read super slow, so everytime they switched, I had to change which was annoying since I was driving most of the time or my hands were occupied.

I loved the book, but it is shorter than the other books which sucked for me. the only thing that happened was the rescue mission and that was it. I understand the and final installment has yet to come out but I was expecting more in the story. everything happened so fast. I needed more. 😔

OMG! No Words....

I have never been tempted to re-read a book, but this series has definitely made that a possibility. Emily Woo Zeller is the epitome of a fantastic narrarator. my heart broke when the book ended. Amy Bartol is a phenomenal writer and I look forward to seeing the 2 of them pair up again in the future.

Too Many Unanswered questions

I have to admit, I struggled to read this trilogy. There were way too many random plots thrown in that were absolutely pointless and DUST left me with so many unanswered questions. What happened to the other silos? are they going to try and rescue them? What is with the door at the end that they were trying to open? What was that door for? I just feel like the entire trilogy dragged on and didn't keep me captivated until the end of DUST to which I didn't know what was happening.
