Historia
Left unable to walk by a childhood illness, Lady Jennifer, sister of the Duke of Wilby, has grown up to make a happy place for herself in society. Outgoing and cheerful, she has many friends and enjoys the pleasures of the Season—even if she cannot dance at balls or stroll in Hyde Park. She is blessed with a large, loving, and protective family. But she secretly dreams of marriage and children, and of walking—and dancing. When Ben Ellis comes across Lady Jennifer as she struggles to walk with the aid of primitive crutches, he instantly understands her yearning.

Another Joy.

Wonderful story with enough new characters for at least five more books. My guess is Stephanie will be next adding the previous series. Thank you both for these.

James St. Clair, the earl of Kenyon, knows his wild young sons need a tutor, not a new mother. They need a man tough enough to make his hellions tow the line, and James is determined to find one. Miss Amanda Leighton, former schoolteacher and governess, knows she has all the qualifications to be a tutor. And while female tutors are unheard of, Amanda isn’t about to lose the chance at her dream job because of pesky details like that. Very satisfying book. Thank you.

Good plot development but a little too much introspective filler. Always enjoy Justine Eyre’s narration.

Historia
Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury's to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne'er-do-wells by night. Now there's a new item on the list. He needs an heir - which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar's daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she'll do.

Must be specal to rate a review
Revisado: 09-28-17
The story and characters are great by themselves but Mary Jane Wells gives them life as well as any narrator I have heard, especially the male voices which is often difficult for a female reader. My family wondered why I was laughing out loud - a rarity for me.

Delightful
Revisado: 06-07-16
The characters in this and many of Heyer's books are varied and interesting. In this particular story the narrator exponentially adds depth. She is now on my favorite list of narrators. I hope she records more of the regency romances.

Historia
It was whispered all through London society that he was a murderer, that he'd spent his youth in an asylum and was not to be trusted - especially with a lady. Any woman caught in his presence was immediately ruined. Yet Beth found herself inexorably drawn to the Scottish lord whose hint of a brogue wrapped around her like silk and whose touch could draw her into a world of ecstasy.

Heart touching pleasure
Revisado: 10-29-12
I have read this book twice and was very relieved that it was recorded by a good narrator. Being a mental health professional it was especially gratifying to find a hero with a disability in the autism spectrum find love and acceptance. I am old enough to remember the treatments Ian received and it is difficult to read about without tears. Anyway, this is a wonderfully written work and I thank those who decided to record the four in the series. The others are good but not like this one.

A Lady Needs a Hero
Revisado: 08-06-12
Wonderful story, good even development of the strength in the heroine. The reading was well done although I did not like the high pitched voice the author gave Rothgar. I realize that romance novels often have dangerous subplots but this one seemed a little overdone with family members trying to kill off both the heroine and hero. Loved the song - hence the name of the review
I did not skip parts though, as I have done in other novels.

Good period piece. Well narrated.
Revisado: 12-01-11
I would give this work a 5 had it not taken quite so long to resolve. I often feel that some period romances - and others probably - could have been about 50 pages shorter. The heroine is strong, which is good, but she tends to agonize over events to the point it feels like filler. However, there are other authors that are far worse in this regard. The narration was very well done. I will add both the author and narrator to my list.
