Historia
More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

Drop into the Unknown
Revisado: 08-07-18
Thoroughly enjoyed this audio book. The characters and conflicts were also believable with little to none of the horror tropes. The mutants were creepy and believable without going to far into unrealistic. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a post apocalyptic thriller.

Historia
Deep is a voyage from the ocean's surface to its darkest trenches, the most mysterious places on Earth. Fascinated by the sport of freediving - in which competitors descend to great depths on a single breath - James Nestor embeds with a gang of oceangoing extreme athletes and renegade researchers. He finds whales that communicate with other whales hundreds of miles away, sharks that swim in unerringly straight lines through pitch-black waters, and other strange phenomena.

Short Dive
Revisado: 08-06-18
I was once told that if I wanted to be deep I should go buy a submarine. And this book did in fact deliver that submarine. However, I found myself wanting more when I was done with this book. I felt that "Deep's" focus wasn't entirely clear. It had some truly astounding moments and then would go off in another direction. One chapter free diving, then with aquanauts, then with whales, and then tell everyone about the dying coral just for good measure. I understand wanting to spread knowledge about these topics, but it felt a little thin. Overall I did enjoy the book though and would recommend.

A Story of Sex and Sadness
Revisado: 08-03-18
Despite the very vivid sex scenes, I enjoyed the first half of the book. Then the second half started and it was like the main character through a pity party and everyone else was like, "what else can we do to this kid?" Character development does not always have to equal heartache and pain. The ending also bothered me, I stuck around through this whole brutal journey of pain for what? The book to end is what.

Classic Science-Fiction Cheese

Reminds of a straight to TV sci-fi movie. Fun and cheesey and I can honestly say I did not see the twist.

One road trip ou don't want to miss!
Revisado: 05-02-18
What did you love best about American Gods: The Tenth Anniversary Edition (A Full Cast Production)?
The story was fresh and while I was originally worried about the full cast, the various ensemble did a fantastic job drawing me into the story. The only one I had a problem with was the lesbian chick at the very end of the book.... Good God she just didn't flow like the other cast and her voice... her voice was like nails on chalk board and snapped me out of the story with every word she spoke.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mr. Nancy by far, his love of story telling and mischievous nature reminded me of my grandfather.
Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Negative, this is a cast production.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Negative, it was like twenty hours long. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Any additional comments?

The Shadow Fell Short
Revisado: 04-03-18
The story was alright once it found it's feet, but the performance is what did me in. Eric Radulski's voice was doing this borderline seductive tone with what felt like a lot over enunciating. It just felt forced and it kept pulling me out of the story because I was just trying to figure out who talks like that.
