The story of Arthur and the Knights of his round table told through the lens of women in the story, a beautiful exploration of the nature and purpose of religion as well. The reader has a lovely voice, I enjoyed all 50 hours.

Lots of good insights and practical activities. The audio book was terribly slow, listened on double speed at times. I am not sure if the paper copy would have been better. The caring nature of the author does come through in the audiobook, but the narrative format could have been improved dramatically with some editing to be more concise.

I also wish the audiobook would have come with a pdf file with some of the activities or workbook format.

This series of talks/lectures/letter as read aloud in audiobook form are fantastic. I especially enjoyed the last chapter on religion and science.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Stephen Hawking has a way of explaining very complicated physics that allows me to understand while I’m reading. He also acknowledges his own mistakes and takes a humble approach to scientific inquiry. He also acknowledges the limitations of science in answering the harder philosophical question of ‘why?’ This book was worth every minute of reading and rereading.

I picked this up as a challenge to read some of the biggest books that I’ve never read before, and to see what all the fuss is about. It was not what I expected. I found Ayn Rand’s philosophy quite interesting. As I was reading the book, I became aware that it is very popular by the right wing in the USA. But this really doesn’t make a lot of sense, because her philosophy doesn’t actually align with either side of contemporary American politics. I guess everyone just wants to be the good guy and the bad guys Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged are really, really bad. Anyway, i’m glad that I read it so I can think for myself about Ayn Rand’s philosophy of objectivism. The novel really is an accomplishment. As a work of fiction for entertainment, it was often extremely repetitive. However, I did love the characters, especially Dagny and Hank. These two will stay with me forever. The entire chapter where John Galt speaks was essentially Ayn Rand philosophizing. It’s worth re-reading that chapter as a standalone to understanding her philosophy.

I really enjoyed the reader as well. The performance made the book, even more interesting, and brought the characters to life without over-playing their voices.

It is rare to read a non fiction book that is as riveting and difficult to put down as this one was. The story of the Sackler dynasty and devastation of OxyContin holds great importance in todays world, and is revealing of how not only this family and pharmaceutical company has developed and marketed drugs to new and old afflictions, but to how government agencies and numerous politicians have been complicit in the modern opioid crisis. A brilliantly written and diligently researched book that needs to be read.

Rather predictable, obvious and tedious at times, yet still an interesting thought experiment about how life might be different if we made even one different choice at any point. It does inspire a feeling of gratitude and appreciation toward our current life, and introspection about what could have been.

Didn’t like the narration. In fact, I couldn’t keep listening as the reading was far too dramatic and the voice of the narrator overplayed the italicized words of the main characters voice- so much so that instead of sounding like a powerful, strong female lead character, she was sniveling and whiny. I ended up purchasing the physical book to read instead.

Loved the interwoven elements of Chinese History, and the story itself is riveting. The last 3rd of the book is brutally violent and contains very shocking depiction of war.
