Takes a minute but good
Revisado: 11-20-23
I bought this with all the expectations most did being a Dresden fan. So at first I was thought the book was meh. I quit for a bit but went back to it with a different lens. I’m glad I did. The main character builds throughout the story. The ideas in the book become clearer. The world that the author creates start to become more intriguing. I really enjoyed it.

Some people complain about the dragon voice, but I think that a deeper voice fits better than a human voice. Imagine a Dragon having a normal woman’s voice.

Revisado: 08-13-19
I'm pretty sure the hype around this book and my excitement for it caused me to find this book lacking. It was a decent story, but I definitely felt like it needed more.

Historia
Harry Dresden, Chicago's only practicing professional wizard, should be happy that business is pretty good for a change. But he also knows that whenever things are going good, the only way left for them to go is bad. Way bad. Recent examples: A duel with the lethal champion of the Red Court, who must kill Harry to end the war between vampires and wizards...Hit men using Harry for target practice...The missing Shroud of Turin - and the possible involvement of Chicago's most feared mob boss.

Historia
Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

Decent read
Revisado: 05-29-16
Story is decent although I think I expected more. The idea that this guy has a more than photographic memory should have lent itself to more astonishment, but it really didn't. I would have liked there to be more from that end. the story started to drag somewhere in the 40s but then picked back up. Narrators were good. although at the very beginning there was some spotty parts. it was like the editing of it was causing it to be a bit choppy. It went away later. it was a good book overall, but I can't say that I'd get the next in the series. I would however read another Baldacci book. I do like his books.
