Thoroughly enjoyed this story of Randy’s NDE and the accompanying Scriptural references. On of the best NDE books out there.

Excellence on many levels
Revisado: 12-26-18
I am huge fan of PA fiction, but this one shines as one of the best series I've come across. I burned through all 3 in less than two weeks, Not your typical post-apocalyptic series, this one is more a excellent study in human nature and lessons on leadership (while still also being a fast-paced, action-packed post-apocalyptic work!). The character development is superbly done and, as someone who has listened to ALOT of audio-books, found the narration near perfect with R.C. Bray capturing the emotion and personally of each character with incredible depth and range. The hysterical, and uniquely colorful, banter of the military characters (especially, and above all others, Gibbs) is worth the read alone. Not many books in this genre have had my laughing out loud like these have, especially as book 2 begins. Well done Mr. Gayou. Very much looking forward to book 4 in audio.

Historia
It's been around nine long months since the United States spiraled into chaos due to a cascading systems failure. From the recesses of a fractured government comes a plan to restore order and rescue what remains of the population. The first step comes with restoring power. But what if having access to electricity came at such a price that many - like Jim Powell, his friends, and his neighbors - would rather face a future in the dark.

Engaging and powerful book
Revisado: 06-12-18
Another non-stop, action filled story of an all too realistic version of a very near dystopian future that comes straight from today’s headlines by Mark Goodwin. Very emotionally engaging and it presented the reader with a much to think about on many levels. Mark gives us A LOT to unpack here regarding self-sacrifice, family, personal loyalty and difficult ethical choices, and he really does a fantastic job of bringing us into the internal struggle within the characters themselves. Excellent narration by Stacey Glemboski as well. Can’t wait for book 3!
