Historia
This book is designed to help you rise to the challenge and become the game changer your organization needs. Candid insights from dozens of coaches, managers, CEOs, journalists, entrepreneurs, and other elite performers reveal the qualities that make some people stand out, and the underlying theme is mindset. While talent is a great head start, it is merely potential. Undeveloped and erratically-wielded talent holds little value for an organization.

Some worthwhile advice
Revisado: 03-12-18
There are some good points made in the book but there are far too many sports stories. The author almost constantly references basketball and football players and coaches. Additionally, this book is clearly directed at men. I counted two references to women. The first was about a successful man’s wife who inspired her husband. The second was a reference to a deceased women’s basketball coach who was quoting a man the author admired. Finally, some of the author’s points on race and gender are inconsiderate and overly simplified

The Alaskan Laundry is beautiful evocation of a place and a testament to the unshakable lure of home. It also offers an unforgettable story of one woman's journey from isolation back to the possibility of love.

Bad

Too long, too rambling and pointless. I'm not certain what you're supposed to get from this story except living in Alaska is terrible

Historia
Penobscot Indian Molly Ayer is close to "aging out" out of the foster care system. A community-service position helping an elderly woman clean out her home is the only thing keeping Molly out of juvie and worse.... As she helps Vivian sort through her possessions and memories, Molly learns that she and Vivian aren’t as different as they seem to be. A young Irish immigrant orphaned in New York City, Vivian was put on a train to the Midwest with hundreds of other children whose destinies would be determined by luck and chance.
