DNF - not a bad story just not what I wanted

I don't typically write reviews but I am 2 hours away from finishing this and I just can't.

I LOVE sexy smut as much as the next girl but cheese and crackers the main female character, Harlow, goes from being a virgin to a complete sex addict in the span of a couple of hours/days. Maybe it's because I have never experienced that level of constantly needed to be having sex every waking moment but after so many rounds I begin to wonder what keeps her going.

For example: we will be in a scene where her climax has reached new heights and she is ready and rearing to go like minutes later wanting to try another position like she needs to complete the kama sutra before her week with Derreck is over.

I don't know about anyone else, but typically "best sex of my life" leaves a person pretty spent and exhausted. Apparently this isn't her case.

I did however enjoy that Derreck, the main male character, is pretty forthcoming with his feelings as he readily admits he wants more. It was a nice change of pace that the guy wanted something more serious than the girl was looking for.

I don't know what I wanted from this story but I know that I am struggling to finish it. Like I am sure it has a happy ending and all but where I am at now is virtually unbearable to listen to.

P.S. voice actors did a great job, it was just the content of the story that I found annoying and bothersome. I think I was looking for a true enemies-to-lovers story which are typically more dark and actually feels like enemies not this type of psuedo-enemy.

I love Vi Keeland and Sebastian and Andi even more. The voice actors are really what sells this book. Overall I didn't think this was Vi's best book but I still really enjoyed it.

Sexy and Dark

First of all, who doesn't love Sebastian York? like seriously?

Second, I really enjoyed the dark underground mystery vibe of who is this guy, why is he so powerful and badass, and yet he is so irresistible.

Overall, great story, great quality audio and voice actors.

Batman Bikers

So I gave this book a shot because it's in the Romance package and I was really intrigued. The overall story was very enjoyable, I like the characters and their development and there were no plot holes. (Bonus!) The writing of the story sounded well done.

As for the voice of the story, I loved the interpretation of Rush's voice. He sounded sweet and adorable and felt real. I genuinely liked his voice even if he isn't a Sebastian York. Ryker's voice interpretation on the other hand made me think of Batman and I'm sorry, I just couldn't get behind it, it was a bit of a turn off. I still listened through to the end, but its a hard no for me on the batman voice.

This book was reccomended and sent to me by a friend. I never went looking for this story as it isn't your usual happy ending love story. What this story did do though was make you feel, A Lot! It makes you question what is real as these characters and their depths are completely fictional. As a writer myself I know that is not all true, there is always some piece of yourself that resides within your writing which makes you wonder what parts truly come from within the author. Did he experience something similar to this or did he just hear the whispers of sad love story and used his imagination to fill in the details, a lot of incredible details! I finished the story with more questions than answers and an honest to god broken heart. It was worth it though, because its a tearjerking reminder that there isn't time for regrets, that true love is pure magick, and time waits for no one.

Loved It!

Wow! Just wow! I really loved this book. I went after it because it was a bit l9nger than most and I was really surprised how much I got into it!

Jason and Olive's story is sweet, funny, and steamy. The third act conflict was actually pretty good and wasn't annoyingly cliche which was a great change of pace for me. I only wish that I could have truly seen these characters come to life and watch Soul Ache on the big screen. Especially the scene in the epilogue.

I related with this book on so many levels and felt like I knew the characters as my own best friends. it was sad to hear the book come to an end but what a great journey it was to get there.
