Long time attorney here: Wasted time on this book. She basically says trust yourself, take care of yourself and document what the other person is doing. This book should have been called “my little advertisement to get women to hire me” bc that’s all this book is- a commercial.

I trusted Nightingale- Conant until this motivational book perfect for 11 year olds

I have read most everything in the Nightingale-Conant library. Until this book, I was a fan of the publisher.
Save yourself and do your dishes or make your bed it’s far better for you than this collection of words appropriate for middle school children only. Terrible and the publisher ought to drop it.

Outstanding advice but unclear what he means by “success” with women:

I enjoyed this book. I’ve read three or four times.
I couldn’t figure out what the author means by “success with women” though I think he means hanging out, have fun, and hooking up- bc he says that over and over. But this definition of relationship success is profound if you’re 15 but at 45 it’s sophomoric. I decided to write the review after my fourth read and recognizing the author also has failed to find any stability or permanence in his relationships- like the rest of us who didn’t write the book. The book is good- but not that good.

A difficult and pessimistic read.

This book has enjoyed robust marketing. Marketing which I fell pray to. There are a few nuggets of wisdom in the book such as “never outshine the master” however, for the most part, the book provided example of example from selected historical anecdotes which encourages readers to practice deception. And that is essentially the thesis of this book: deception is the way to power. I have saved you several hours. You’re welcome.
