I accidentally read book 2, Camera Wars, first which I really enjoyed. So I've gone back to listen to book one and find out the back story for Liz & Tyler, and it was very sweet. I liked gaining insight to the "nice people who are famous" perspective.
I enjoy the people in this series and Chelsea Hale has made me care about them. This is my 1st series by this author and I think she has strong writing skills. This just goes to show you, it pays off to give lesser known authors a chance. They may surprise you. 🙂
I'm looking forward to book 3.
Good narration job by Stacey Glemboski, too.

I really enjoyed Camera Wars by Chelsea Hale. It was my 1st book by this author and I look forward to reading the rest of her books in this series.

The story was fun revolving around photography and videography, which was unique. (I have a son & a daughter both into photography.) I also liked that it took place in Colorado, in Denver, and the nearby Rocky Mountains. I live in this area and it was fun that I have been to the places they talked about.

I appreciate that the story was clean and respectful. There was that one kiss... ;)

Stacey Glemboski did a fine job narrating, as well.

Great finish to a beloved series!
I've really enjoyed the "street rats" angle in these stories, and of course I loved this grand finale, how God restored the years the locusts had eaten, and gave them beauty for ashes!
I treasure Roseanna M. White's writing and even more so with a great narrator like Liz Pearce (I wonder if she has a brother named Barclay? 😉)
More great history, as well. This story made me look up the history of the Zeppelins and Rolex, plus a little on Big Ben the clock.
I will miss this patchwork family! 🥰

I'm sure enjoying this series, Shadows Over England, by Roseanna M. White! Such creative stories and unique, beloved characters.
A Song Unheard is book 2 and so sweetly written to include a math mind and musical soul(s). I loved the descriptive details in their thinking, with numbers and music. And more revelations of the love and mercy of God through Christ Jesus.
As with book one, this story had just enough intriguing historical facts that I had to do further research on the specific details. This time about Room 40 in British Intelligence, Belgium in WWI, and the British & US relief efforts for them. I always feel so much more educated when stories inspire me to learn more history.
Still great narrating by Liz Pearce!

This is a delightful adventure full of "two sided coins."
The hero is wonderful, with a deep heart for Jesus and all those He loves.
The heroine is a wonderful transformation story, beloved by her unique "family", and eventually pretty much everyone that she hasn't had a scuffle with. She is a bit rough around the edges with a big heart!
I love the introduction to some of the events credited as starting WWI. I spent a bit of time researching it further today because of this lovely story.
Liz Pierce does a great job narrating, as always! In fact, she really aced the hero! ❤
Beautiful job, Roseanna M. White!

The Lost Heiress was a delight. Roseanna M. White does a fabulous job creating beloved characters and stories unique from any others, and this first installment was a promising start to a distinguished series.
I loved all the characters, and this story wrapped itself around my heart.
Great narration job by Liz Pearce! Irish, French, British, and then English with all three of those accents. Impressive! And very easy to listen to!

I loved getting to know Cayton and Ella better. As well as all the little ones, some newcomers, and some more beloved servants.
One of the things I loved best about this particular installment of this Ladies of the Manor series is the redemption of so many hearts, souls, & lives. Things were not always as they seemed, and Roseanna M. White wrote those revelations convincingly.
Liz Pearce, the narrator, has impressed her name upon my memory due to her incredible performance throughout this series, though I did find myself confused a few times in this story as to whom was speaking. It is no wonder, though, with so many characters converging from all 3 stories, and some Russian added to the mix!
All in all, I enjoyed this series. This final installment was not my favorite, due to the necessary evils, but there could have been many more & I'm thankful for all the good that prevailed!
I will gladly read any and all novels crafted by Roseanna M. White! (I especially love A Heart's Revolution, and the Culper Ring Series!)

I do love Roseanna M. White's stories and writing style. Always some humor, mystery, love, adventure, family devotion, action, and nuggets of faith to take away.
More beloved characters I will miss & hope to see in the 3rd book of this series!
Oh, and Liz Pierce is one of my new favorite narrators!!! This series is the first time I've heard her work but what a linguistic wonder she is! How she managed Scottish/Gaelic, Irish/Gaelic, French, British/English, and then English in all 3 of those accents, plus keeping track of who spoke what... well, it's beyond my comprehension! I just loved it all!

Well, this series has been full of interesting lighthouse & lightkeeper history, and this last book was no exception. I enjoyed these bits of knowledge and hope to build on them in the future with other books and research.
This story was a difficult one for me to enjoy because of the lying. I get the reasons, and I cared about the characters, but I'm not fond of lies or perpetuating lies so it was always there bothering me throughout the story. I also felt the sexual tension was a bit much for my taste. Again, I understand why, especially based on the hero's past, but it was more than I prefer in a story.
Now, don't get me wrong, some of my favorite heated moments are written by this very author, in her Orphan Train series, but they are fewer & farther between, and there is a bit more angst involved.
That being said, I will still probably read everything (Christian Fiction) that Jody Hedlund ever writes because she is a compelling storyteller and a fun historian who has introduced me to so many aspects of history that I'd known little to nothing about and I really appreciate her for that.
And still enjoyed Becky Doughty's narration, very well done!

I do love Jody Hedlund's writing style! Her stories are engaging and her characters become as familiar as friends & family.
I'm not a big fan of people in positions of trust, & having made promises, going back on them, so I cannot give 5 stars. But, as always, it is a lovely and compelling, detail-rich story.
I especially liked the messages about trusting God with loss.
As with the rest of this series so far, the narrator, Becky Doughty, does a real nice job as well!
