Historia
What do you do when the guy you’ve loved since you were 14 is sent to the most dangerous prison in Solaria for saving your life? Okay, so maybe he doesn’t love me back. And maybe getting sent down would seem insane to some, but I’m Rosalie Oscura, champion underground cage-fighter and alpha werewolf from the infamous Oscura Clan. My family wrote the book on criminal organizations, and I’ll be ruling this place by the time the next moon rises. Then I just need to get to work on busting us the hell out of here.

Juvenile and no plot
Revisado: 04-26-25
I have listened to many paranormal fantasy books. This is the worst one I’ve ever listened to. A total waste of time., Came off like it was written by a horny 14-year-old boy, and ended horribly.

Chosen from birth to usher in a new era, Poppy’s life has never been her own. The life of the Maiden is solitary. Never to be touched. Never to be looked upon. Never to be spoken to. Never to experience pleasure. Waiting for the day of her Ascension, she would rather be with the guards, fighting back the evil that took her family, than preparing to be found worthy by the gods. But the choice has never been hers.

Slow
Revisado: 04-18-25
The narration was great, the skill of the author to write is undeniably superb. But I did find myself through the first 2/3 of the book at times ready to skip forward. The story really moves along very slowly with chapters and chapters of very little to nothing happening, except the explanation of a tree. I will listen to the next book and hold my final judgment till then.

Historia
Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen's reservoirs for as long as she can remember. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone. When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares… but it turns out they're real.

Good, but way way way too long.
Revisado: 09-12-24
I have enjoyed the trilogy of the story, but I must admit that almost 90 hours between three books is just incredible to endure and to get through. By the third book I felt I was on the last 5 miles of a marathon and just wanted to pull over and stop. The story could’ve been toldin 20 hours instead of 30 and still been too long. But again great story plot just way way way too long.

Long but worth it!
Revisado: 07-27-24
I must say that Sarah’s books are always a bit lengthy, and this book like all the others could’ve been just as good 10 hours shorter. But in saying that, I will say that if you’re willing to spend the time, the book always is entertaining and keeps you interested. I always walk away from her books excited about the ending, and wanting more.

Historia
It's been over three months since my friends and I took down Cyrus. Three months where my biggest fear was what paper was due next . . . But I should have known it was too good to last. Now everything is falling apart. The Vampire Court has no king, the Dragon Court has no heart, and the Gargoyle Court has me—a teenager in way over her head. And it's the worst possible timing, because a threat is brewing just as the Circle is collapsing. I have no choice but to return to the Shadow Realm and face the terrifying queen who nearly ended us . . . and make a deal with her to save Mekhi.

Enjoy the series, but this book was too sappy
Revisado: 01-05-24
I enjoyed the overall series of books, but this finishing book was just over the top sappy, and lacked in a real story. It was clear that it was tying up, a bunch of loose ends, but did so with chapter, after chapter of dripping sappy writing.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Loved it… too long
Revisado: 08-06-22
I only write reviews occasionally, This was a well written book, but about 10 hours too long. The story is interesting but it tends to be the same thing over and over again and they could’ve removed a good 10+ hours and made it much better. But I did enjoy the story, the characters, and the narration. I just need to focus the story tomorrow meaningful plot lines

Our love story is simple. I met a gorgeous woman. We fell in love. We had kids. We moved to the suburbs. We told each other our biggest dreams and our darkest secrets. And then we got bored. We look like a normal couple. We're your neighbors, the parents of your kid's friend, the acquaintances with whom you keep meaning to get dinner. We all have our secrets to keeping a marriage alive. Ours just happens to be getting away with murder.

I must admit there are not many books that surprise me, but this one did. The story was original, the plot was exceptional and I would’ve been ecstatic if it wasn’t not for the very last 30 seconds of the book. Sorry but you really lost me there

Love Strike but….
Revisado: 07-23-21
Love the story and performance but 31 hours is long for some of the plots. Also the snail pace track of Strike and Robin romance is getting exhausting. Again I finished the story but not sure if I would get another Strike book if it’s 30 plus hours.

Confused but happy
Revisado: 09-07-19
I have to say as a white man in America, I have no idea what the black race has been through and still endorses. Listening to parts of this book I was confused, mad at everybody and at times happy for them all. If you buy this book you must commit to listening to the end because it takes so many twists and turns. But I have to say at the end of the book, it left me with a tear in my eye, joy in my heart and a little bit more of an understanding of the world we live in.
