A story that must be told
Revisado: 03-05-24
Excellent story, painful on many levels but also inspiring. A story of perseverance and having to make difficult choices and decisions. Pain and trauma that likely “broke” a lot of young women and girls. Glad that their story is being told and hope this story resonates at the Polls as reproductive rights will have a pivotal impact 2024.

No Happily Ever After
Revisado: 09-08-23
I struggled to finish the book and wanted to set it aside after the first portion because I didn’t like where it was going, but started and wanted to finish. I’m glad I did. There was no sunshine or happily ever after, but reality for some urban youth. The author did a great job of developing the characters and brought it together at the end.

Pride???Not really..
Revisado: 09-02-23
This novel really wasn’t about Pride (just my thought). Revenge, Greed,Anger perhaps but it was not a story of pride. Don’t get me wrong. It was a good read.

Slightly Disappointed
Revisado: 04-14-23
This series should have ended with the first book, Mrs. Wiggins’s was complete! I usually enjoy Mary Monroe sequels but this one was all over the place.

Narrator, a total snooze
Revisado: 04-01-21
The story was just fine. A lot of ups and downs, twists and turns. HOWEVER, listening to book was torture at times. The narrator showed very little passion most of the time and diminishing the overall quality of the book.

Good Read
Revisado: 12-11-19
Overall this was a decent read. Was hoping for a few more turns and twists in the book though. A little on the predictable side so if you are looking for some suspense, probably not the book to choose.
