Historia
It’s 1984, and 15-year-old Arizona is doing his best to take care of his younger brothers and sister while their daddy drives a truck cross-country and spends his paycheck on booze and gambling. In small-town Southwestern Louisiana, his family is known as the lowest of the low, and they say it’s on account of a family curse that’s so ugly, no one would dare speak of it. Then Arizona’s daddy loses his job, and things go from bad to worse. He baits Arizona into a fight, and their brawl results in him and his brothers and sister being split up by Social Services.

very triggering
Revisado: 06-25-22
********************
possible triggers: abused by a parental figure, a mental facility, taboo relationships, split family.
********************
this book started off very well The kid in the story faced lots of abuse this could be triggering for some. Father made one sexual advance never got physical mostly seemed for intimidation. main character has a boyfriend relationship seems very normal for age.
The taboo happens after he moves in with his step grandfather and the uncle that lives in the cottage off the estate. The main character at the time of the sexual relationship was 16 the uncle was said to be double his age 2 years younger than the dead mother.
relationship seems to become sexual slow innuendos at first then progresses into a sexual relationship after reading the many books in the uncle's house about gay romance.
I stopped listening to the book after the first encounter with the uncle I could make it through the pri or reading but for some reason seeing an uncle or a parental figure no matter how long they've known each other do something like that. made me lose interest in the book.
The narrator of this book is absolutely amazing his voice is very smooth and is accent is quite charming. The writing of the book is very well done but once again it's highly triggering and the taboo relationship just doesn't sit right with me That's not to say that this book isn't for some just not for me.

Historia
With the darkness on the horizon, I need to clear my name and get to work. Forming a Goodness Army is on the top of the list. Shockingly, my army consists of my wacky-tabacky-smoking aunt, my high school counselor who can shift into a house cat, the town gossip who turns invisible after downing five beers, and a few fabulous others with nefarious talents. And of course, a cast of fictional characters...who I created and definitely have an opinion on how I should proceed.

Historia
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

Revisado: 06-24-22
this book is one of my all-time favorites. this review might be a little biased because I read the book before I listened to it. the narration was amazing and brought life to a story that I dearly love!

Historia
Across the world of Aster Fall, there are unique classes, but not all of them can be trained. They require quests and accomplishments that simply don't exist in the world. Some say the World Law itself is broken and that the world is falling apart. In comes Sam Hastern. His family has been cursed by one of these classes for the last 50 years. No one has ever managed to level it, condemning them to the lowest paying jobs and life in a barren village.

Historia
Returning to Guthrie, Oklahoma, for the funeral of his mysterious and beloved aunt, Sue, Adam Binder once again finds himself in the path of deadly magic when a dark druid begins to prey on members of Adam’s family. It all seems linked to the death of Adam’s father many years ago - a man who may have somehow survived as a warlock. Watched by the police, separated from the man who may be the love of his life, compelled to seek the truth about his connection to the druid, Adam learns more about his family and its troubled history than he ever bargained for.

Worth the credit
Revisado: 06-24-22
this book was definitely worth the credit but this is about as negative as I can be about it. The main character just doesn't have enough character development sometimes you find yourself asking questions you just don't know the answer to but you should.
but besides that being such a small issue the book itself is actually really good. I wish more LGBTQ stories could be as slow burn as this one is. after listening to this book I didn't walk away feeling dirty it reminded me a lot of TJ Klune

When Bonnie Grayduck relocates from sunny Santa Cruz California to the small town of Lake Woebegotten, Minnesota, to live with her estranged father, chief of the local two-man police department, she thinks she's leaving her troubles behind. But she soon becomes fascinated by another student - the brooding, beautiful Edwin Scullen, whose reclusive family hides a terrible secret. (Psst: they're actually vampires. But they're the kind who don't eat people, so it's okay.)

A tile for this.... TWISTED
Revisado: 06-24-22
this was definitely the most twisted book I think I have listened to in a long time. Man they really make Bella evil but in a very enjoyable way that makes you want to find out just exactly what the heck she's going to do!
who cares about werewolves are vampires just beware of Bella. All ye beware of Bella.
definitely one of my favorite books of the year

Historia
After just five months of dating Janie, Quinn - former Wendell and unapologetic autocrat - is ready to propose marriage. In fact he's more than ready. If it were up to Quinn, he would efficiently propose, marry, and beget Janie with child all in the same day - thereby avoiding the drama and angst that accompanies the four stages of prematrimony: engagement; meeting the parents; bachelor/bachelorette party; and overblown, superfluous wedding day traditions.

A decent book
Revisado: 06-24-22
definitely a enjoyable listen but the main character makes some of the most awful decisions. this is not enough to ruin the book but I look forward to book two and hope that the main character gets rid of some of the insecurities that cause this book to keep me from being completely immersed in the story.

Unbeknownst to him, Ray is about to partake on an adventure filled with magical beasts, warring factions, and a leveling-up system out of this world. He'll encounter filthy bandits, musty crypts, and friendly werewolves. Oh, you heard us right. If only he wasn't given negative charisma points around women, he might have a chance, but you can't win them all.
