Historia
In Still Just a Geek, Wil revisits his 2004 collection of blog posts, Just a Geek, filled with insightful and often laugh-out-loud annotated comments, additional later writings, and all new material written for this publication. The result is an incredibly raw and honest memoir, in which Wil opens up about his life, about falling in love, about coming to grips with his past work, choices, and family, and finding fulfillment in the new phases of his career.

Like catching up a friend
Revisado: 05-27-22
Wil Wheaton is Rad. This is an enjoyable and is like sitting down and listening to an old friend. Wil is one of the best audible book narrators and to have him tell you his own story and to hear of the hard decisions he has had to make is life is inspiring. Keep up the good life and good work Wil

I liked the story and the overall performance, totally disliked the voice the reader used for Blair. It almost made me stop listening.

I have to admit I had a hard time getting into the book at the beginning, but I ended up loving it. It addressed some very difficult topics with humor and honesty.

Historia
When Miyax walks out onto the frozen Alaskan tundra, she hopes she is leaving problems at home far behind. Raised in the ancient Eskimo ways, Miyax knows how to take care of herself. But as bitter Arctic winds efface the surface of food, she begins to fear for her life, and turns to a pack of wild wolves for help. Amaroq, the leader of the pack, eventually accepts Miyax as one of his own defenseless cubs, protecting her from danger and saving portions of the daily kill for her.

Julie of the Wolves review

I read this book in elementary school and was excited to see it the list I'm currently working through. I have to say though I didn't really like the last paragraph of the story. Just me being sentimental I guess. The narrator did a wonderful job!

One of five children, Pat watched as her alcoholic mother struggled to get by on charity, cons, and petty crimes. At age seven, Pat was taught to roll drunks for money. At 12, she was targeted for sex by a man eight years her senior; by 13, she was pregnant. By 15, Pat was a mother of two. Alone at 16, Pat was determined to make a better life for her children. But with no job skills and an eighth-grade education, her options were limited. She learned quickly that hustling and humor were the only tools she had to survive.
