Would you consider the audio edition of The Assassins of Altis to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed the audio version even better than a printed book as MacLeod Andrews voice and inflections helps to paint the landscape behind the characters

Who was your favorite character and why?

In this book a young and beautiful female Mage is introduced. This causes uncalled for jealousy on the part of Master Mechanic Marie and leaves you wanting to learn more about this new character and twist in the plotline

Which scene was your favorite?

The escape from the assassins is a well written vehicle in which new characters, critical to the future storyline, are introduced.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There is a part of this book in which Alain gains a family that would touch the heart of any reader

Any additional comments?

Bravo to Jack Campbell. He continues to deliver. Read The Lost Fleet series too!

Revisado: 12-09-15

What did you love best about The Hidden Masters of Marandur?

Highly creative futuristic storyline with a flavor of Romeo & Juliet forbidden young love

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mage Alain is a great character. He is discovering feelings for the first time. He is transitioning from the harsh training of a totalitarian master guild to that of a teenage human developing his first friendship and perhaps more

What about MacLeod Andrews’s performance did you like?

When you listen to MacLeod Andrews you forget that there is only one voice. You can hear the separate voices of each character. His crisp pronunciation of words and his emotional rendition of the dialogue is excellent

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book draws you in by its creative story line. You laugh at a number of the questions raised by Mage Alain as he questions everything that one commonly takes for granted

Any additional comments?

This book leaves you anticipating and wanting to immediately read the next book in the series

The Fiery Cross Audiolibro Por Diana Gabaldon arte de portada

The Fiery Cross

Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series is usually excellent. Unfortunately this abridged version is chopped far to much and lacks the charm and intensity of the unabridged works. The earlier books read by Davina Porter are far better. Buy this one in hard cover or wait for the unabridged version release

Under the Streets of Nice Audiolibro Por Ken Follett, Rene L. Maurice arte de portada

THIS IS NOT A KEN FOLLETT BOOK! French authors Ren?-Louis Maurice and Jean-Claude Simo?n wrote the book Cinq Milliards au bout de l'?gout (1977) about Spaggiari's bank heist in Nice. Their work was translated in 1978 by the British author Ken Follett as The Heist of the Century (also published as The Gentleman of 16 July and Under the Streets of Nice). To the outrage of Ken Follett some publishers brought it out as a new Ken Follett book, while it was in fact little more than a rushed through translation
