Historia
Luvvie Ajayi Jones is known for her trademark wit, warmth, and perpetual truth-telling. But even she's been challenged by the enemy of progress known as fear. She was once afraid to call herself a writer, and nearly skipped out on doing a TED talk that changed her life because of imposter syndrome. As she shares in Professional Troublemaker, she's not alone.

simple live story
Revisado: 02-27-22
a friend recommended this book. she loved it. I think I would have preferred to read the books written by the main character in the story. Those books seem interesting. This love story was slow, but held my interest.

very good read
Revisado: 02-18-22
This is an easy read that expressed many of the thoughts I've had about white women authors giving advice on getting ahead. I liked the chapter titles and I think Diddy would be pleased to know that his songs, lyrics and named ate used in higher ed more than he knows. I talk about the Priddy theory often citing it's all about the Benjamin's baby, what! but yes, I've now recommended this read to my curcle especially to use as a roadmap for those at lower levels within their company seeking to advance.

Who's pulling for you? Who's got your back? Who's putting your hat in the ring? Odds are this person is not a mentor but a sponsor. Mentors can build your self-esteem and provide a sounding board - but they're not your ticket to the top.

Get a sponsor
Revisado: 09-15-20
I must have heard about this concept some time ago because none of this was new to me. my Boss suggested that I read this book. the stories were nice, could have done without the accents. the stories had a bit of useful information, i will go back and answer the questions from the chapters. ive used sponsors for most positions Ive received in life by examining my network and determining if I know somebody who knows somebody. so far so good.
