Book is good not great, audiobook is meh not good
Revisado: 06-22-24
The book:
This is a solid book about the enneagram, and does a great job, giving explanations about how all the types function, but more importantly, what is shown when the types interact with one another. I don’t feel that it offered anything especially unique compared to any other Enneagram books, but is a great starting point for a couple that is new to the Enneagram and wants to understand it, and themselves, better as a family unit. If you’re curious, do give it a listen.
The audiobook:
This book does not translate well to audiobook format. This particular reading of the book was done by a narrator with a somewhat flat voice and robotic speech pattern, like listening to an AI narrator with a human voice. It is also difficult to specifically find the sections pertaining to you and your spouse, because each type is explained at different stages in a few chapters and then a large portion of the book is dedicated to specific pairings, and what those interactions look like in particular. Because of this, a lot of time is spent scrubbing through the audio of the chapters listening to a dozen or so seconds (and sometimes a few minutes) before finding out that you’re still in the wrong section, and need to keep scrubbing to find the right one. Unless you are genuinely interested in learning about how all 45 pairings of the Enneagram interact with one another, I would recommend finding a literal book, and flipping to the pages you would like to read instead of listening to it as an audiobook.

Historia
Since the 1970s, FantasticLand has been the theme park where "Fun is Guaranteed!" But when a hurricane ravages the Florida coast and isolates the park, the employees find it anything but fun. Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares.

Incredible story told through incredible performance
Revisado: 12-24-23
Such a thrilling and gripping story, but a word of caution about the darkness. Will happily be re-listening in the coming years, my only gripe is that the interview format does not seem like the best medium to tell this story.

Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

How many times can one character say “F*** me”?
Revisado: 02-13-18
The Fold started great, but failed to deliver. This having been a semi-sequel to 14, I had high hopes for it. The quantum science behind it is a great plot device. But the characters and rehashed dialogue have me yelling at my stereo in annoyance. I won’t stop listening to Peter Clines, but
