A fun and addicting, humorous series! No big space battles in this episode, just relaxing on Earth and traveling to Charlie’s planet. We share a glimpse at Bob & Nikki’s kids having fun while growing up. This book also carries the story line forward, setting the stage for trouble to come. As always, Chris Ciulla's performance is spot on.

An Entertaining Story

John Ringo and Lydia Sherrer created an entertaining coming of age tale involving team gaming to save the world. The story continues exploring team dynamics and adds real world issues dealing with rising stardom, privacy, libel, and media law. Ringo excels with fast action battles.

I enjoy listening to Sarah Mollo-Christensen's excellent vocal performance.

This young adult story is recommended for those who enjoy games like Pokemon Go, Sci Fi set in the near future, mercenary role-play, and those who just enjoy a rocking good story.

A most enjoyable read!

Jerry Boyd breaks away from his standard novel with a changed format of three adventures. Having two narrators other than Bob gives a different and interesting perspective to the tales while keeping the humor Jerry Boyd’s readers expect.

1. Topper finally locates and rescues Zelda, the bot he has been seeking for years.
2. There is another segment of Joshua Finni and Lakki Witti’s adventure to find the “true” squirrels.
3. Find out what Dingus is up to!

A New Clan

This excellent story contrasts issues facing an elderly tree cat suffering loss of his wife, his job, depression, and choosing to remove himself from friends and family with the issues a teenager faces including juggling time for family, friends, work, chores, and developing teen relationships. It showcases Stephanie’s growing maturity and vulnerability including her experience with date rape drugs.

Monster Hunter Guardian

Book 7 in the Monster Hunters series
Wow! An excellent and entertaining tale by two master storytellers. In collaborative novels, I can often tell when specific parts are written by a particular author. Not in this one. It is a seamless presentation of a wonderful story. Larry Correia made a great choice in choosing Sarah Hoyt to insert a female viewpoint of motherhood and monster hunting. The problems of a working mother hit a homerun. It was interesting to see the usually well-organized Julie really challenged as she deals with necromantic death cults and child-stealing monsters while trying to locate and rescue her son..

Although I really like Oliver Wyman’s great voices in the MHI series, in this delivery of a woman’s story Bailey Carr’s audio performance was flawless. She is a natural fit for Julie’s voice. The variety of human and monster characters are distinctly voiced. Bailey’s expressive and engaging delivery brought the story to life.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed and highly recommend this book.

The Storm

The setting of The Spark and The Storm seemed weird at first, but master storyteller David Drake shows his immense talent in both tales. The Champion Pal is very different from the other protagonists in Drake's novels. These novels are not for those who want cookie cutter stories, but rather targeted for readers who enjoy an unusual and engaging tale.
