Holt and Ash saved the kingdom of Feorlen against all odds. Now they are outcasts, alone on an impossible quest to unite the Elder Dragons. But they are children playing in a game of Dragon Lords. Trapped between the riders, servants of Sovereign, and the scourge, even their luck cannot last forever. Their only hope is to advance their bond by any means necessary. Pleas sent to rider headquarters fall on deaf ears.

Get your powersuit and 1980s Gurl Power
Revisado: 06-05-18
TL;DR - be confident, play to your strengths, read the room (or office in this case), use critical thinking, maintain professionalism and be goal oriented. Dont give into bullies or play their games. Learn strategy and apply it to your life.
If you read the above, you dont need the book.
The narrator has a lovely voice and was pleasant to listen to.
The tone of the book is outdated, which is sad considering its only 4 years old, feels like a womens empowerment book from the 1980s. Author contradicts herself through out the book while trying to make her points. Most glaryingly obvious is her consistent comparison of men vs women, then stating how the presumed reader is not a man and should act like a woman, but not too much. The duality posed by the author seems to be pitting men and women against eachother. So much man hate and personal feeling. She takes sucker punches at the supposed patriarchy. I do agree women are raised differently from men and that, that reflects in adult behaviors. Its common knowledge at this point that men and women are different and approach work and the office environment differently. Its also common knowledge the office space is heavily geared toward men, so is the rest of the world. However the way inwhich this is all pointed out gives the air of patronizing the reader. Especially when she keeps calling the reader a "nice little girl" and telling them to grow up into a woman. ok thanks. The world has changed, its not as simple as women not being allowed in the boys club. We have so many other communities fighting for equal pay, respect and rights in the work place, and promotion options that its no longer a black and white issue. The author does nothing to address the plight of immigrant employees or LGBTQ individuals. She barely touches on the fact African American women struggle harder to succeed due to old stigmas and racism. The fact she continually tries to turn it into a two sided problem is belitting the issue. Im struggling to finish this book. But this author needs to reevaluate how she precieves the world and self. Her advice stems from a different generation and different time, its very clear she hasnt updated herself or views since the shoulder pads and powersuit era.

amusing

a tongue and cheek sort humor poking fun at cyclists, while introducing the proper ettiquette of group riding. For those who dont race or group ride, some rule ideals dont quite apply. Just dont take this book too seriously and its an enjoyable read.

A wonderful encouragement to ride
Revisado: 01-10-18
a delightful peek into the world of bicycle touring. Many fears felt by new riders and quiet concerns held even by those who are experienced are addressed in this book. If you have ridden a tour you can nod along with the encouragement and advice given. The authors' tone throughout the book is really light hearted with down to earth advice.

Historia
More than 30 years ago, nutrition researcher T. Colin Campbell and his team at Cornell University, in partnership with teams in China and England, embarked upon the most comprehensive study ever undertaken of the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease. What they found, when combined with findings in Campbell's laboratory, opened their eyes to the dangers of a diet high in animal protein and the unparalleled health benefits of a whole foods, plant-based diet.

eye opening and well researched
Revisado: 01-04-18
well researched. due to the scientific nature of this book, a lot of the story is a bit tough to get through. Some parts required a second listen. over all a very interesting take on nutrition. The author also offers insight to how nutrition guidelines were first developed and the unfortunate progression of corporate interest in influencing public health. Keep an open mind and read the book as a study. Take the observations made by author/ comments on study and nutrition as an examination of eating habits and not an attack on your personal beliefs about food. Doing so you may find it an enlightening and good read.
narrator is good, but a speaks a bit slowly. ended up speeding up the audio.

Interesting thoughts
Revisado: 12-04-17
An eye opening view on a controversial topic. The Mad cowboy makes excellent points and shares very poignant opinions on the meat industry and what it isn’t telling the consumer. My chief complaint about this book would be there are not enough sources sited in the facts stated by this book. The book sometimes seems written more by alarm and anger then a thoughtful argument ( although there is plenty of that as well). Most eaters of animal products will rebuke this book purely for insult they may feel. Either way if you are a person who eats animal products and read this book, perhaps it will inspire you to research on your own.
