Loved the story, the narrator not so much
Revisado: 12-07-22
Can we please get Lesley Manville back for the next book? Really really really did not like the new narrator. The sound levels went down then up then down to the point I almost increased volume.
Ok. complaints done. Love the story, love the characters. Can't wait for book 4.

story ok, narrator hard to listen to
Revisado: 03-27-18
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Make it less a romance and more a thriller/mystery.
Would you be willing to try another one of Kate Rudd’s performances?
No. She has very strange diction, most times sounding extremely flat, overly enunciating, and almost robotic. There's glimpses of her sounding like a normal human, but not enough to want to listen to her again.

main characters become more unlikable
Revisado: 06-30-17
What did you like best about The Owl Always Hunts at Night? What did you like least?
Listened to the first book, I'm Traveling Alone. Overall liked it, so got this book, The Owl Always Hunts at Night. The story line is interesting, strange, but interesting. As the story goes on, I found the two main characters become more and more annoying. Also, as with the first book, the are many characters involved in the story line, but they just disappear at the end. There is no resolution. They're not even mentioned at the end.

weird narration effects
Revisado: 01-17-17
Any additional comments?
Not sure if it was intentional, but every once in a while the narration changed - louder or echo-y or some other weird thing. Very distracting.

Historia
Some places seem too beautiful to be touched by horror. Summit Lake, nestled in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, is that kind of place. But two weeks ago, Becca Eckersley, a first-year law student and daughter of a powerful attorney, was brutally murdered there. Now the town is reeling with grief, and the police are baffled.
