OMG. Was not expecting that ending. Big surprises. Great character growth from the start of the series.

Overall it is ok.
Revisado: 08-05-22
Really slow moving over at least the first 10 chapters. Did not have a clue what the story was about until mid way through.
There isn't really a middle to the story. it starts and finishes.

Historia
The devil you know is never the one you should trust. Special Agent Patrick Collins is dispatched to Chicago, chasing a lead on the Morrigan’s staff for the joint task force. Needing a cover for his presence in the Windy City, Patrick is ordered to investigate a politician running for mayor. In the lead up to Election Day, not everything is what it seems in a city where playing to win means appeasing the gods first and the electorate second. But Chicago brings its own set of problems outside the case: a standoffish local god pack, a missing immortal, and Patrick’s twin sister.

Performance?
Revisado: 07-06-22
My only issue is that several instances they got the wrong voices. It sort of takes you out of things when you hear another characters voice.

Not what I thought.
Revisado: 01-21-21
Make sure you know what you are getting. this is not the book I thought I was getting when reading the synopsis. This has heavily religious overtones and basically is a waste of time. I thought it sounded like a true political thriller but it is a dud. Its not that the resolution is bad, there is no resolution. Chapter upon chapter is just nonsense with religious diatribe. i will not be reading anymore of these books or wasting audible credits. Save yourself the disappointment and find another book. I would give it less than 1 star if I could.

An Ok Start
Revisado: 01-11-21
I like the fact that they are trying to introduce a new era and I think they did an ok job. but I felt the book was missing something in the story, maybe they should use Yoda just a little more. i didnt like the fact he was hidden elsewhere. Only big negative I thought was that there were too many characteres .
As for the performance, It was fine and I love Marc Thompson but he used voices from other books especially a couple from Thrawn so it took me out of the performance when I heard them. Along with that it seemed some characters changed voices along the way
Overall though I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next installment.

Historia
When Mitch Rapp captures ISIS’s top technology expert, he reveals that he was on his way to meet a man who claims to have the ability to bring down America’s power grid. Rapp is determined to eliminate this shadowy figure, but the CIA’s trap fails. The Agency is still trying to determine what went wrong when ISIS operatives help this cyber terrorist do what he said he could — plunge the country into darkness. With no concept of how this unprecedented act was accomplished, the task of getting the power back on could take months. Perhaps even years.

Enjoyed the book but not the best.
Revisado: 01-02-21
I enjoyed the book but since the xhange in authors there is just a different feel. The books seem very anti climatic and dint build the characters like they did before. You also spend all this tume buikding up the story and it is over in 2 seconds. I thought resolutions were handled much better with Vince Flynn.

Historia
The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

Love Rapp????
Revisado: 06-30-20
Love the series, but this is the weakest so far. Everything was too simple. I loves the complex planning in the first books. I don't understand how time works. Since Memorial Day he was early 30s but only like 5 years has passed and he is 40s. Shouldnt Tommy be a teen now.
