Loved This
Revisado: 03-23-15
What made the experience of listening to Wicked Bugs the most enjoyable?
Every chapter gave interesting stories about notable bugs. I loved hearing out they were discovered and what ailments/catastrophes they caused.

A Fictionalized Biography
Revisado: 03-23-15
If you could sum up Madame Tussaud in three words, what would they be?
Movie Version Needed
Any additional comments?
I would love to see they make this into a movie. While this novel is based on the true life story of her, they added some embellishments and fictional characters. As long as the reader knows this is a 100% accurate and takes this as a fictionalized biography, I think they will enjoy it.

A Novelization Worth Listening To
Revisado: 03-23-15
Would you listen to V for Vendetta again? Why?
No reason other than I didn't think I would pick up anything new a second time.
Any additional comments?
This is a novelization of the screenplay of the graphic novel/comic books. It follows very closely with the movie. It was done well, though.

Historia
The Rite describes the reality of demonic possession. It also traces the history of exorcism and and treats related topics such as satanic cults and black masses. Since Fr. Thomas was a skeptic and the author is a fact-seeking journalist, this book is more compelling even than the previous best-seller on this topic, The Exorcist.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. I thought it was pretty interesting and entertaining. Not all about religion as much as the rites of exorcism.

Weaving tales of the everyday world transformed into an unrecognizable place, where reason no longer exists and logic ceases to explain the workings of the universe, Clive Barker provides the stuff of nightmares in packages too tantalizing to resist. This first volume contains the short stories : "The Book of Blood," "The Midnight Meat Train," "The Yattering and Jack," "Sex, Death, and Starshine," and "In the Hills, the Cities,"

Sure. It wasn't that bad, just not anything I would consider scary.

At the heart of these stories, as with all the best of Lovecraft’s work, is the belief that the Earth was once inhabited by powerful and evil gods, just waiting for the chance to recolonise their planet. Cthulhu is one such god, lurking deep beneath the sea until called into being by cult followers who – like all humans – know not what they do.

I mentally punish myself with CP's books.
Revisado: 02-23-15
Any additional comments?
Why do I do this to myself? I love the concept of the books that Chuck writes but when I actually get to the point of reading them, they either are beyond grotesque or just plain ludicrous. I have a very strong stomach but some of stories are just beyond gross. This book actually is not grotesque and barely ludicrous. It could have ended way before it did and that was my main complaint. I guess that is why I keep reading his works. There has got to be a happy medium met one time, to the point where I can enjoy his creativeness.

Not bad, though I am not into this genre.
Revisado: 02-23-15
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I loved the mythology of it all.
Do you think The Lost Gate needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Um...in the title is says book 1, so I do believe there is already at least one to follow.
Any additional comments?
I didn't know he wrote the Ender series. I chose this book on a whim and enjoyed it, though I'm not in a hurry to read anymore of the series.
