a disappointing finish to a wonderful series

two thirds of this book is Skippy whining about how the situation is hopeless and that everyone should just give up. the end has a number of miracles that Skippy is suddenly aware he can perform to save the day. halfway through I was rooting for the bad guys to burn it all down.

The story feels like is was over about halfway through, but the author invents a complication that was never mentioned until then, but later they claim it had to be that way or ... lame reason. The narrator didn't vary his voice with the different characters but otherwise was okay.

Only if I can use a speed control - this reader would be great for an insomnia treatment book.

The book is instructional, not narrative.

Mike Chamberlain. He is an excellent reader, and an appropriate choice since the author is male.

The reader was easy to understand and had no accent, but she seemed to blod through this book like a sleepwalker. Perhaps she felt the intended listener would be an adopted newborn?

We predict trivia (implying we shouldn't be, but instead put some effort into coping with the antifragile events in life).

What did you like best about this story?

It provides answers to the issues brought up by The Black Swan, but you need not read TBS to gain from this book.

Haven't finished yet, but the basic premise of the book is what has "grabbed" me thus far (I plod slowly through books like this, but it makes it more helpful that way).

What did you love best about Pilgrim Theology?

Michael has a great way of explaining deep topics without overwhelming the reader/listener, as long as you don't mind (painlessly) expanding your vocabulary in the process.
The pace demands the listener pay closer attention than some would prefer (but that is more of a criticism of the potential listener than this author). Fortunately he keeps things quite interesting.
I started listening on the release date and kept it on continuously to the end, pausing only to sleep. Can I give this book SIX stars???

What other book might you compare Pilgrim Theology to and why?

Most anything by R C Sproul - written for those of us who haven't graduated from Seminary but secretly wish we had.

Have you listened to any of Vicas Adam’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have no previous experience with this narrator. He did an above-average job with this book, but credit should be given to the author for writting in a style that is more conversational than most Theological texts.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I appreciate Michael's treatment of the Gospel itself, which I gather is something few church-goers could accurately define, much less communicate clearly.

Many thanks to Audible for providing this book and others like it, especially when so many "contrary theological opinions" pepper the shelves here...

Excellent production - easy to listen to.

This is non-fiction - there are no scenes

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Realistic advise - they understand the difficulties in parenthood and don't minimize them.

A lot goes into Dr Dobson's work - not just a few examples but thousands (or more).
