Historia
When, at age forty-six, Nancy Pelosi, mother of five, asked her youngest daughter if she should run for Congress, Alexandra Pelosi answered: “Mother, get a life!” And so Nancy did, and what a life it has been. In The Art of Power, Pelosi describes for the first time what it takes to make history—not only as the first woman to ascend to the most powerful legislative role in our nation, but to pass laws that would save lives and livelihoods, from the emergency rescue of the economy in 2008 to transforming health care.

Historia
In this searing memoir, Congressman Jamie Raskin tells the story of the forty-five days at the start of 2021 that permanently changed his life—and his family’s—as he confronted the painful loss of his son to suicide, lived through the violent insurrection in our nation’s Capitol, and led the impeachment effort to hold President Trump accountable for inciting the political violence.

Constitutional scholarship masterpiece
Revisado: 01-30-22
Unthinkable was informative and motivational for me. I was emotionally connected to Congressman Raskin's heartbreaking journey. furthermore, I'm grateful for the solutions highlighted for a plan of action to protect our nation. Audible is my newsreel and so many wonderful authors neglect the optimism who is necessary for progressive momentum to protect our constitutional form of Democracy. The logic within this audiobook is clean and direct. Thank God for Speaker Pelosi challenging Raskin to bring good into our world despite and because of tragedy from multiple fronts. WELL DONE!!! THANK YOU.

there's no new reporting in this title. Also, this audiobook glazes over many events and is as if the author made compilation of headlines and sold it as a book....just kidding....I enjoy the audiobook bla bla bla!

Historia
The 2016 election was a watershed for the United States. But, as Tim Alberta explains in American Carnage, to understand Trump’s victory is to view him not as the creator of this era of polarization and bruising partisanship, but rather as its most manifest consequence. American Carnage is the story of a president’s rise based on a country’s evolution and a party’s collapse. As George W. Bush left office with record-low approval ratings and Barack Obama led a Democratic takeover of Washington, Republicans faced a moment of reckoning.

The final thoughts are revealing. Many other author's have wrote similar narratives. Congress has become a fundraising apparatus and abrogated it Constitutional function. Gone are the days when Members actually knew one another. Here is the day when xenophobia and fear gripes the Country. GOOD LUCK MAGA

Historia
Armored cars, burner phones, top-notch weaponry, and top-secret missions - this is the life of today's private military contractor. Like author Simon Chase, many PMCs were once the world's top military operatives, and since retiring from outfits like US Navy SEAL TEAM Six and the UK's Special Boat Service, they have devoted their lives to executing missions too sensitive for the government to acknowledge. Chase reveals here for the first time the operations too hazardous and politically volatile to be officially sanctioned by his employers.

exciting and riveting, happy I listened to this book. I wonder why the Benghazi chapter is not more publicly acknowledge, I imagine this has to do with plausible deniability from USG, and political consequences such acknowledgement would carry for those in the decision making process of the events which surrounded the raid.
