If you liked the podcast then you will LOVE the book. There was so much in the book that was not in the podcast. TONS of backstory and extras. I listened to the entire book in one sitting.

I love this podcast! Mandy and Liz are dedicated to exposing small town corruption. Also, Russell and Suzie Laffitte are the definition of entitlement. Of course Russell deserves to be in the jail cell right next to Murdaugh and Suzie should be housed in club fed for tax evasion! Unbelievable!

This is so wrong. KA sold this as “a new series” when she actually just took a previously published story and changed the names and a few minor details. Anyone want to bet that the detective in this story will closely resemble Brock Lucas? She also manage to make the two main characters EXTREMELY unlikable. KA should’ve just titled the book The Doormat and The Douchebag. I‘ll definitely be returning this one!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Never ever listening to it in the first place.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kate Russell?
It doesn't matter who read this crap, there is just no helping it.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Annoyance, ear bleeding pain.

This book is SOOOO bad it's truly one of the worst things that has ever happened to me. This is the first time that BOTH lead characters were so unlikable that you hope the bad guy gets them because they are just to useless to live. It was just horrible!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Styxx to be better than the print version?
It's REALLY LOOONNNGGGG!!! The actual new story is about 3 1/2 hours with everything else being copied and pasted from Acheron. Lastly, when did all the Greek gods turn into leprechauns with Irish accents?

The few with Simi and her sister.

What disappointed you about Shades of Midnight?
I like this series but the herorine in this book is as annoying as nails on a chaulkboard. Too bad she didn't get drained in the end but you can't have everything.

I have probably ordered over 100 books on audible and this has to be the worst narrator ever! It's a complete shame because I love this series by Vikki Lewis Thompson and I can't wait for the next book to be released in July. I've suffered through listening to this narrator in the past but this one was by far the most painful. I hope they use a different narrator on any future releases or I might have to resort to listening to nails running down a chalk board instead as that would be less annoying.
