Historia
Douglas Murray, #1 international bestselling author and renowned cultural commentator, confronts arguably the most pressing question of our time: Why are Western supporters of Palestine unwittingly aligning with an evil empire? The campus left frames the violent hostilities as white colonialists committing genocide. Yet only a third of Israelis are Ashkenazi Jews of European ancestry. Murray argues that the conflict is not a simple tale of oppressor versus oppressed, but a clash between a thriving multi-racial democracy and a death cult bent on its destruction.

Historia
Boeing is a century-old titan of industry. It played a major role in the early days of commercial flight, World War II bombing missions, and moon landings. The plane maker remains a cornerstone of the U.S. economy, as well as a linchpin in the awesome routine of modern air travel. But in 2018 and 2019, two crashes of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 killed 346 people. The crashes exposed a shocking pattern of malfeasance, leading to the biggest crisis in the company’s history—and one of the costliest corporate scandals ever.

Some interesting nuggets, but story was hard to follow as it jumped around and the author inserted his politics views gratuitously.

Not an expert some things that seemed inaccurate in this. Felt like bending text to her narrative. Some interesting stuff but I’m cautious to accept it given the other challenges.

Often embodied as epic poetry, and told through the acts of divine beings, creation stories illuminate the values, beliefs, and creeds of the earliest civilizations. As such, these stories show us how early cultures made sense of the human condition, in theological, philosophical, and political terms. These 12 dynamic and thought-provoking lectures offer you a penetrating look at the origin stories of the great civilizations of the Mediterranean.

The part about the Bible being distinct from other mid East creation stories was worth the listen alone. Brilliant. The rest I think was good but you have to be interested in the topic. Also the origins of Greek myths was brilliant.

The acknowledges their liberal bias upfront which I appreciate but still slipped into some unfortunate biases referring to one justice as conservative but in favor of free speech for example. Otherwise the content is interesting and well presented but be aware of the viewpoint when listening

As with Prager’s multi-volume commentary on the Torah, the explanations included with this Haggadah are equally valuable for religious and non-religious Jews, as well as for non-Jews. It provides enough thought-provoking ideas and insights to last the reader a lifetime.

Historia
North America was settled by people with distinct religious, political, and ethnographic characteristics, creating regional cultures that have been at odds with one another ever since. Subsequent immigrants didn't confront or assimilate into an "American" or "Canadian" culture, but rather into one of the 11 distinct regional ones that spread over the continent each staking out mutually exclusive territory. In American Nations, Colin Woodard leads us on a journey through the history of our fractured continent....

Interesting premise but falls apart
Revisado: 03-09-23
The concept and premise are very interesting but the book falls apart, and the author insists on interjecting his political views. By representing different, modern perspectives, from his point of view only and not from each of the groups’ own perspectives, it called into question the earlier narrative as well. Disappointing as this could’ve been a great book.
