Historia
With an entirely fresh take on presidential history, James Swanson, author of the New York Times best-selling, Edgar Award-winning Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer, shares the story of his lifelong obsession with the murder of America’s most revered president and the frantic hunt for his assassin. The renowned Lincoln scholar treats listeners to an audible “walking tour” of the people, places, events, and artifacts that tell the story of those horrible days in April 1865.

Very interesting
Revisado: 09-13-23
You can easily tell that the author is really obsessed with Lincoln and an undisputed expert on the subject. Everything was very interesting, especially the minor details. I didn’t enjoy the narration much.

Historia
In Monterey, on the California coast, Sweet Thursday is what they call the day after Lousy Wednesday, which is one of those days that is just naturally bad. Returning to the scene of Cannery Row, the weedy lots and junk heaps and flophouses of Monterey, John Steinbeck once more brings to life the denizens of a netherworld of laughter and tears—from Fauna, new headmistress of the local brothel, to Hazel, a bum whose mother must have wanted a daughter.

One wrong move can undercut your message. Believe it or not, our bodies speak louder than our words. Postures, gestures, and expressions convey reams of information - and often not what you'd expect. A smile, for example, is usually considered welcoming. But crook one corner of your mouth higher, and you project superiority, subconsciously chasing other people away. Without Saying a Word explains how even the subtlest motions have meaning.

Extremely long
Revisado: 10-07-22
I had regretted purchasing it at around 20%. Extremely well written of course but the story was really boring for my taste. And also the Russian names. Until the end I was not always sure who was who. Books like this belong to the past.

Historia
Assembled from notes and jottings left unpublished at the time of the author’s death, The Book of Disquiet is a collection of aphoristic prose-poetry musings on dreams, solitude, time and memory. Credited to Pessoa’s alter ego, Bernardo Soares, who chronicles his contemplations in this so-called "factless" autobiography, the work is a journey of one man’s soul and, by extension, of all human souls that allow their minds and hearts to roam far and free.

You cannot listen for more than 10’ tops, if you believe in love, caring for anything at all and having human decency. He was obviously an unlucky, miserable, sick man who died at 47 from alcohol. No need to poison your feelings by listening to this. A good performance though.

Historia
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

Useful knowledge on trauma but the worst recording ever
Revisado: 06-05-21
While The no lids I acquired from this audiobook was quite useful, I felt that the writer was trying to be cool by using the word f**k 1 million times which annoyed me after a while. Sounds like someone that wants to sound cool to teenagers while providing scientific knowledge, which she needn’t do, because this book is already useful and important. The recording is the worst I have ever heard from Audible.

Revisado: 08-15-20
I only wish this 35 to 40% of Americans that are DJT’s base would read this. It is so rare that the general public has the opportunity to learn things that only a few people know. And not only this but there is also an psychological analysis by a professional expert which is this writer. And amazing though sad family story.
