This is some of the worst narration I have ever heard. The author would’ve been much better off having a professional read the book. The content was decent, but the narration is so bad I won’t finish the book. I’m returning this book.

This story line is done for me. I can't sit through another book. The narration is great but this series doesn't have the elements that made the Saga of Seven Suns compelling.

I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. I thought I was in for another military sci-fi adventure so it was a nice surprise. The sarcastic AI made the book for me. Looking forward to the next installment of the series.

What disappointed you about Metro 2033?
I tried to finish this book for about 17 hours and I hate giving up on a book but I just couldn't finish it. The narration is great but the story was slow and I couldn't get into it.

This is the best leadership book I have read by a civilian. No BS. A lot of leadership books have 5 hours of useful content and 4 hours of fluff. This book doesn't. I felt like the entire book was top notch content.

The two books in this series are the best special ops fiction books that I have ever read. They are more realistic than most. These elite operators make mistakes and they die. They get soft for a second and they pay the price. Their families pay. The teams run out of time and resources at the end and people die, bombs explode. These guys speak like operators and relate to one another like the men they are. I highly recommend this series.

So many of the reviews I have read about the book claim that it is dark. I found the story to be a brutally honest vista into an a part of America that I had never experienced. MacLeod Andrews does a phenomenal job with the narration and the writing is very good.
