Disappointing

I got this set hoping it was a light and fun reading like other alike books I really enjoyed. To my surprise it turned to be a full blown romance, what I have no stomach for.

Disappointing
Revisado: 02-25-25
Too many characters. Too many entanglements making difficult to follow the plot. Too descriptive of game laws and rules. Too much "romance". The book becomes more of a soap opera drama than a mystery and search story. Not getting the remained books in the series.

Not finished
Revisado: 01-21-25
I was still interested until half of the book or until religion, more specific Christianity. I am atheist and the talk about Bible and God got to be a sore subject. I don't pledge my beliefs on anybody, therefore I don't accept that to be done to me.

Too hysterical.
Revisado: 09-13-24
Not a pleasant reading! The unstable main character was a painful reading. The plot could be better explored. The story was not well told and it was cut without any conclusion, not even a hint of what would happen soon after. Stupid!

Great book
Revisado: 07-03-24
I am not a family drama story kind of person! I despise self-centered and entitled teens. However, I absolutely loved this book! A reading that could be monotonous, about hard and dark subjects, turned out to be very interesting and captivating. The author language and style made the story very easy to navigate. To complement, the narrator performance was flawless.

Forty-two-year-old Mia Thorne is not living her best life. After a disastrous career-and-relationship-ending event, she escapes New York City and moves to a sleepy river town in Pennsylvania, courtesy of a dead aunt she never knew. Aunt Hazel was the reclusive family nut, a self-proclaimed psychic. Of course, Mia’s dad always told her that she, too, had the gift, but after his death, her mother made sure to squelch the notion. When Mia stumbles over a body in the overgrown garden, the newcomer catches the eye of the police chief and his hotshot detective, Derek Fairfax.

The endurance the woman has for sex
Revisado: 06-24-24
The story has potential. However, it gets lost in the middle of so many sex scenes and the absurdity of how much torture and sex the woman can endure.
