Historia
The Battle of Evesham has been fought and lost. The King is triumphant, Simon de Montfort is dead, and Adam de Norton is a prisoner, stripped of everything he once honoured and prized. Escaping from captivity in the grim castle of Beeston, Adam becomes a fugitive in a country in turmoil. Branded a king's enemy, he can be slain with impunity.

Endearing story
Revisado: 10-22-24
I found the first book through listening to a gone medieval episode in which Ian was a guest. From the first chapter I was hooked and have truly enjoyed the whole trilogy of books. Kings enemy wraps up Adam’s long journey extremely well and while I am sad not to get more time with all the characters it is nice to see them get an ending they deserve. Highly recommended! Comparable to Cornwell in that I think Ian Ross crafted a tremendous story with tons of detail and grit especially in describing battles.
