Not exactly what I was hoping for

The story was more about the hatred for the author’s Teresa’s dead step mother than anything else. I had to stop halfway through. Disappointing. Tons of foul language. Couldn’t listen to this in the car with my 15 year old because of the language. This was marketed as grief counseling through little league baseball but by the time I’d stopped listening halfway through, not so much about little league baseball had been discussed.

Beautifully done. Exceptionally edited. Inspiring. If you love Michael Lewis books, you will love this one as well. We felt like we got to know Dixie very well in one of his previous books (Playing to Win) so hearing her voice and learning more about the wonderful young woman she was, was heart warming in this one. Definitely one of our favorites. We will be listening to it again soon.

I am two hours into this book and I don't think I'm going to be able to take much more. If you're a fan of five word sentences, and super simplistic sentence structure, this book is for you. Torturous to listen to so far; I'm genuinely hoping that the storyline and quality of writing improves soon.
