I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed Yellow Crocus. Both are well written with a true nod to history.

Sad, truthfully told
Revisado: 07-27-22
Tyrus has become one of my favorite commentators on FOX. He is insightful, intelligent and compassionate. This book is not a polished work of literature. However, Tyrus shares the brutal truth of his life. He doesn't feel sorry for himself and in his words...he has never been a victim.

Politics
Revisado: 10-22-20
I rarely write a review. I have read every Stuart Woods novel twice. Each novel has been creeping closer and closer to politics. Quite honestly, I have enough politics in real life. If you prefer a more conservative view of politics, skip this one. I am sad because Stone Barrington has ALWAYS been my escape.

Oddly interesting
Revisado: 04-24-19
I was surprised that I listened to the end. This story is quirky, very much Stephen Kingish, a love story, mystery and thriller. I think the narrator kept me listening as I would have stopped reading had I held a book in my hands. I gave a 5 star because if you like that genre, it is probably one of the best.

Great for all ages!
Revisado: 10-31-18
If you would like a sweet, gentle book, The Quilt Walk is for you. Although written for middle age children, it has many endearing qualities. It is the story of Emma Blue who travels by wagon train with her family to seek a new start in Golden, CO. Emma relates stories of their travels across the Great Plains as they travel from Illinois to Colorado. The author shows a gentler side of their encounter with the Indians as well as the realities of all the different personalities that make up the men, women and children traveling in their caravan.

Wonderful narration
Revisado: 04-22-18
I enjoyed this book. The story is well developed, sometimes a bit too wordy, but don’t let that discourage you from listening to the end. Very thought provoking on a subject that is current. In addition to the mystery that evolves, the author takes us through the emotions of infertility as it applies to the parents and the donor.
The narrator does an exceptional job of portraying each character perfectly. It was so easy to listen and visualize with the help of Julia Whelan.

Revisado: 04-14-18
I love this book! The narration was perfect and the details of Alaska are breathtaking. There were times I felt as if I were with the characters. Although difficult to hear, this book deals with domestic abuse. The story is gently woven to help the listener understand the love, hate and fear victims of abuse feel.
