the story is really dragged down by the parts where orrin complains about his abadonment issues and being attention starved. to the point he becomes infatuated by anyone who shows the slightest bit of attention. even after realizing this he continues to do it. hopefully the author stops the curremt character development path

just that fact allie refuses to accept that she is a dog and can't have a relationship with main mc is so annoying, so much so that the author for some reason decided to write in weird furry anthropomorphic format for allie and now "oh I guess I have 2 gfs" like cmon man you could have just introduced a male intelligent dog. 1/5
that fact that the mc has the brain cells and social awareness of a log is getting old

Unless you want to listen to 40 hrs of an MC deal with adversity after adversity with 0 progression of the overall story, just save the credit. the dialog between characters is ridiculously cheesy, almost cringy. Lots of writing doesn't make it good writing. Not even Nick could save this one for me.

Another series that doesn't age well

To be honest it feels like the author is grasping for strings, yes the scenes with Howie and the lads are still very good but there is literally a 20 minute chapter of a grown women being scared of a spider, another character is a hypochondriac, 35 minutes chapter to introduce him where nothing happens. To be honest it's hard not to skip half the book and if you do that the book isn't worth the money you paid for it
