Good Story with Annoying Narration
Revisado: 10-12-21
Overall the story was good (if not predictable). The voice actor for Eleanor was not so good. I felt like she was just “reading” and not putting any acting into the characters, and if she did, it was caricature like and over done; not pleasant at all.

Loses a bit over time
Revisado: 07-13-21
Had a good premise, but then it became a little more weird and kind of became repetitive, as if the author was running out of ideas. The ending tried for closure but came up a little short. The narration was excellent though, so it made the whole thing more palatable.

Predictable, but interesting
Revisado: 02-03-17
The story was okay; narrator was very boring...when not speaking in a monotone, the attempt at different voices for various characters did not hit the mark. I only listened to the book to finish it, not because it was compelling

Had Potential
Revisado: 01-17-17
This book had an interesting premise but went on far to long. Aspects of the plot were repeated over and over. It was easy to figure out and then you were just bogged down by all of the details. I would not recommend this book.

Historia
On a foggy summer night, 11 people - 10 privileged, one down-on-his-luck painter - depart Martha's Vineyard on a private jet headed for New York. Sixteen minutes later, the unthinkable happens: The plane plunges into the ocean. The only survivors are the painter Scott Burroughs and a four-year-old boy, who is now the last remaining member of an immensely wealthy and powerful media mogul's family. Was it by chance that so many influential people perished? Or was something more sinister at work?

Anti-climactic ending
Revisado: 12-20-16
The performance was excellent. The author just seemed to get on a soapbox at points trying to build a perspective of life events that didn't do much to flesh out the characters themselves. I found myself hoping that the book would be over soon.

I thought the book itself was very good, if not somewhat predictable. Did not like the narration. His attempt at different female voices missed the mark. The narration almost made me stop listening.

Good story suffers from Narrator
Revisado: 06-16-16
The only reason I kept listening to this book was the story itself. Wanted to see how it finished. The narration was horrible...tries too hard to make different voices for different characters and they all ended up sounding the same. In particular, the "sexy, sultry" voice was just plain annoying. I will not get another book with this narrator.
