Historia
The history of magic is as long as time and as wide as the world. In every culture, in every age, in every place and, probably, in every heart, there is magic. Harry Potter: A History of Magic reveals some of the hidden stories behind real-world magic and explores some of J.K. Rowling's magical inventions alongside their folkloric, cultural and historical forebears.

Unorganized and unfulfilling
Revisado: 10-23-18
Very Disappointed in the book on the whole. Although it had a few scraps of interesting information all in all it was not a very interesting listen. I was hoping for a lot more insight instead I got what something equally as unpolished as one of the first drafts of the philosophers stone. If your looking for more Harry then go elsewhere

Historia
Imagine what it would have been like to be a follower of Jesus: first-century Christians walked away from their old lives just to be where He was. What they learned, sitting at His feet, was discipleship. And when His work on earth was done, first-century Christians took His words and example and spread out, teaching the gospel to everyone. The good news is that we, too, can participate in this lifestyle.

Historia
Over the past few years, devastating tsunamis off the coast of the Indian Ocean have killed hundreds of thousands of people. Even more alarmingly, scientists predict that these tsunamis, as well as a series of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, will be striking with even greater frequency and may eventually threaten Hawaii, California, and Oregon.

To much rheteric
Revisado: 03-15-11
I started listening to this but had to stop as the author rambled on on a rant against religion and Christianity in particular. I can not understand why this kind of thing is neccessary in a book that is supposably about nature and not political or religion.
I was looking forward to this as I live in Japan and from the recent eartquake you can surely understand but it was not worth the opinionated rant that has nothing to do with the subject
Sorry, but I recommend you stay away from this one

Historia
Babylon Rising introduces a terrific new hero for our time. Michael Murphy is a scholar of Biblical prophecy, but not the sedate and tweedy kind. Murphy is a field archaeologist who defies danger to fearlessly hunt down and authenticate ancient artifacts from Biblical times. His latest discovery is his most amazing - but it will send him hurtling from a life of excavation and revelations to a confrontation with the forces of the greatest evil. For the latest secret uncovered by Michael Murphy accelerates the countdown to the time of the end for all mankind.

A good inspiration
Revisado: 04-18-04
I found the book as good as the Left Behind series. In fact in some ways I found it better. The left behind series inspired me to look into prophecy theory a lot more then I ever had before. I wanted to check what I was reading. Tim La Haye has done the same thing for me here. Using fiction and writng about this biblical archeologist encouraged me to subscribe to Biblical Aarcheology Review as soon as I finished listening. Like Paul in the book I became interested in the feild. Were the characters meant to be believable, not likely, are all the details perfect, No, but it was an entertaining fiction and I think it did what it was suppose to: make me find out and study for myself.
